You can always tell the Russian fans in these videos because they've got bumbags and tight denim shorts on.

They are single handedly keeping Sports Direct afloat.

Remember when we were worried it would be terrorists would ruin the tournament? What a simpler time last week was. The footage on the news is terrifying.

what worries me is the complete lack of policing IN the stadium. Balaclavas, flares and god knows what else were allowed in the stadium. Tarpaulins used to segregate fans in one of the top 5 games Uefa thought tere would be trouble at, and after three previous days of violence. If ISIS wanted to attack something like this, it would be so easy. Its frightening. |

Any ideas what's actually going on. Has every Euros had hooliganism but he press remained silent? Or is the turning back of the clock? Or are the french police just clueless and their over-reaction sparks some of the violence, probably unlikely but they probably do worsen one or two of the flashpoints
A british ESPN journalist in Marseille said the first bit of violence the other night wasnt quite all it seemed, although obviously a small minority of Eng fans behaved disgracefully: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...bstory_index=0 Jamie Vardy's missus unimpressed at the stadium today, talks of being herded into certain area by french security pre kick off then tear gassed for no reason: https://twitter.com/RebekahVardy All these recent nationalism movements (or thuggery) throughout europe seem to have reattached themselves in significant numbers to football again. Like the bad old days. Assuming there were ever good days recently and this really did stop for a few tournaments? |

These Russian fans aren't any different from their president ( (Putin) - I suppose they have to follow somebody's example - they worship him.
Not surprised at all this has happened. |

BREAKING: French Government announce alcohol ban near Euro 2016 venues and fan zones. Well at least they're trying something. Could do something about those flair guns while you're at it... |

Could do something about those flair guns while you're at it... no one needs to drink alcohol before or after a game. I hate the idea that all football fans like a drink, and its part of the culture. |

its a start, should have happened for the whole tournament
no one needs to drink alcohol before or after a game. I hate the idea that all football fans like a drink, and its part of the culture. I've been going to football all my life. From the age of 18 I've drank before and after the match. I've never hurt anyone, been arrested or had a fight. What upsets you about people having a drink? I feel you're saying things on here just to get a reaction out of people. |

I'm in the fanzone in Lyon at the moment with a beer in my hand. Although the security to get in was like going through an airport.

For what it's worth, there's a decent mix of fans here. Loads of Belgians, a few Italians, Germans and a fair number of English plus various others. All very happily mixing together, having a drink and a singsong. Not a hint of trouble.
