what worries me is the complete lack of policing IN the stadium. Balaclavas, flares and god knows what else were allowed in the stadium. Tarpaulins used to segregate fans in one of the top 5 games Uefa thought tere would be trouble at, and after three previous days of violence.
If ISIS wanted to attack something like this, it would be so easy.
Its frightening.

Hey I was asked to credit things when they are not my own ideas, and I am just following procedure!
Any ideas what's actually going on. Has every Euros had hooliganism but he press remained silent? Or is the turning back of the clock? Or are the french police just clueless and their over-reaction sparks some of the violence, probably unlikely but they probably do worsen one or two of the flashpoints

All these recent nationalism movements (or thuggery) throughout europe seem to have reattached themselves in significant numbers to football again. Like the bad old days. Assuming there were ever good days recently and this really did stop for a few tournaments?

its a start, should have happened for the whole tournament
no one needs to drink alcohol before or after a game. I hate the idea that all football fans like a drink, and its part of the culture.

I've been going to football all my life. From the age of 18 I've drank before and after the match. I've never hurt anyone, been arrested or had a fight. What upsets you about people having a drink?

Good effort!
For what it's worth, there's a decent mix of fans here. Loads of Belgians, a few Italians, Germans and a fair number of English plus various others. All very happily mixing together, having a drink and a singsong. Not a hint of trouble.
