Corrie 1985 and Nick's 2016 wedding
I am currently watching Corrie from april 1985 with Brian Tilsley, Gail and Ivy. Good storylines. I wonder what it would have been like if Ivy and Brian were still around and they went to Nick's wedding I wonder how Ivy would have got on with Carla?

Ivy would hate practically everyone Nick has ever been involved with. Well, maybe except Maria. Leanne and Carla though would feel the wrath.
To be honest though, I think Ivy would have had multiple heart attacks by now just from six-time married Gail. |

Who knows. We don't know how life would have turned out in a post-1989 Coronation Street with Brian Tilsley still alive, or Ivy continuing to live on past 1995. Just one of these "what if?" things. Would Gail have gotten pregnant to David? Would she have married Martin? Would she have met Richard?

Was Ivy, the only mother in law of Gails we saw on screen.? Cannot recall if we ever saw Martins parents at all.

I doubt Ivy would've got along with Carla or Leanne as for Brian's reaction I'm not sure. Quote:

He fought in World War I where he had both his ears blown off and had them replaced with a pair of dustbin lids. In World War II he was part of the Home Guard where, during a freak accident he had both of his legs blown off, they were later replaced with pipe cleaners. Since his 'retirement' he has been playing a bit part in Corrie but his main role was training up the new guard on Corrie such as Ena Sharples, Minnie Caldwell, Martha Longhurst & Albert Tatlock. |

Ken Barlow is the only constant in life. He's been on what is now Coronation Street since the dawn of time and his leaving is one of the signs of the End of Days. ![]() Nick's just old. |
