It seems that if you have 20GB you'll keep it (which is really annoying for me as I could have kept mine, if I knew that they were about to change the rules)
Looks like the only real difference now is that EE has VoLTE and wifi calling whereas BT does not - but I can't imagine they're far behind. IMO BT seems to have better customer services - when I cancelled the SIM I had before, it was done in less than 5 minutes using a UK call centre. I remember having to cancel an EE SIM on behalf of my dad and it was a huge ordeal.
I wonder if the ban on tethering was something EE (as an independent company) imposed on BT. That contract has possibly been renewed (I think BT mobile launched this time a year or two ago), and since BT owns EE, it can now obtain better terms including allowing tethering?
