He also spoke about a really "honest" and "real" storyline for Rhona "with lots of emotion" and "not all bells and whistles", towards the end of the year. Thoughts?

I dîdn't like Paddy affair but was prepared to put up with it if it meant Rhona / Paddy split. It was a means to an end. Rhona is much better now. Paddy is better with Chas / Aaron

Paddy is more important to Aaron and Chas. He was a big part of the Katie story, keeping Aaron's secret and trying to get Aaron to dump Robert. Paddy works very well with Aaron and Chas, they make a nice family unit.

Hopefully nutjob Pierce will bump of Rhona the moaner then commit suicide and then Paddy can return to the village.

I'd way rather he bumped off Paddy. I quite like Rhona these days. Having lots of steamy sex with a hot (slighly psycho) guy is doing her the world of good.

I personally didn't like Paddy as a couple with Chas although I do like the family dynamic with Aaron & Chas. I wouldn't mind him being good friends with Chas (which he already is) without them being a couple.

I think the Paddy affair was made worse by having the Zak and Joanie affair at same time. It was just overload of unbelievable tie ups. Got to give EM their due killing off Tess took it where I didn't expect. Got rid of awful Kirin another plus.

True, though to be fair, he's been intimidating to Sexy Rakesh as well. He just seems borderline unhinged to me, where Tess is concerned. Specially when you consider that she didn't even like him.

I'm sure while Pierce is getting what he wants from Rhona all will be fine and dandy, but should she ever not feel in the mood, she will find exactly how intimidating he can be and find out why Tess was so keen to get away from him.

I do think he'll turn out to be the NuVietCamHotJerseyScumboy cos ED is lacking a proper villain at the moment now that Knobert has achieved sainthood, but I don't think, from what we've been shown, that Tess was anything other than a bit bored with him - she certainly wasn't cowed by him in any way and she made all the moves on Paddeh.

But hey, this is ED, so I fully expect we'll shortly be asked to swallow yet another offscreen back story where it's revealed that he kept Tess permanently chained up in a cellar while he was busy regularly raping/beating his mother/cousin/father/*insert here name of any other random relative*.
