My god she is painful, loads of stuff don't make sense

A child can not own property, an adult would have to keep it in trust.

A will would has to go through probate

As her mum is her next of kin surely she'd take responsibility of all monies left to Olivia until she comes of age.

Stupid story

Haha I was thinking "who the hell is Olivia" then realised that he is called Liv which is short for it

But yes it does seem weird that she seems to have access to the money when she is under 18.

Everything about the kid and her story is weird.

I could not care less about any of it.

There are way better kids on ED already - Gabby, Jake, Lachlan.

I'm getting fed up of Aaron excusing Liv every time with the excuse she just a kid, she didn't know what she was doing.... like seriously?

She's very annoying, but I did have to laugh at holier-than-thou Robert today. How dare he get punished for paying someone to be a false witness? "Everything I do, I do for you!" Oh please.

Of course everything Robert does is for Aaron, like holding him hostage, shooting Paddy, leaving Lawrence to die, I'm sure even if Robert were to cheat on Aaron it would have been done out of all the love Robert has for Aaron.

I was wondering who Olivia was as well until I read the opening post.

I did wonder who in their right mind would let a child pay someone else barely older than she is £50,000. Which bank would let her transfer, withdraw the cash or issue a cheque for this amount if she had have gone through with it.

Poor Robert. No one appreciates him for being the saint he truly is.

Yes and we should nominate him for saint hood, he is more selfless than Mother Teresa.

But Liv doesn't have access to the money.

She used the fact that she has money, (although can't get hold of it as it should be in a trust fund), to bribe Ryan into telling the truth.

The show is brilliant and easy to follow, hence the reason it won the Best British Soap at the weekend

You're right the show is good but this story is shite!

Liv was given the keys to Gordon's house, how - why? The will has to go through probate before anyone could touch his assets. The party story was stupid - the money story is stupid!

Liv's character is a stupid reincarnation of Arron and its not really as inventive as the show usually is

I thought (maybe wrongly) that Gordon had given a set of house keys to Liv ages ago and it looks like she didn't give them back

Chas is in charge of the trust isn't she?

She's maybe unaware of how she can't get to the money, just sees it as easy as going to the cashpoint???

No, she wouldn't have access to the cash. It's unlikely that probate would have been granted. For certain, she wouldn't have access to the money until she's 18, if not 21. Chas is the executor and, in all likelihood, the trustee too, though there could be more than one (perhaps Sandra, as joint trustee). It's unlikely that Chas has even managed to set up an executor's bank account yet. There's quite a lot of paperwork involved for the executor to gain control of the deceased's cash and assets, then any debts have to be settled, funeral paid for, taxes paid etc.

That doesn't mean to say that Liv understands all this. She's still a school girl. She probably thinks that the cash will just be handed over. She's in for a shock then. She would have been in no position to offer Ryan anything from the estate. Ryan's probably too dumb/young to realize that.
