Show has been dire so far, partly of the problem being stacking pretty much all their star power into one match. Maybe we will get a surprise in the main event.

Yeah I won't be making a habit of watching Smackdown live.
exactly hollie. last nights raw was a breath of fresh air it was like the writers from nxt got drafted to raw and the raw writers got drafted to smackdown, its been really really bad.

i hope it gets better but i doubt it.

hurry up and get kurt angle back

if raw gets crusierweights then smackdown live should get the women division that seems fair?

Could they have found someone other than the Intercontinental champ to have his shirt kicked in?

I can see Bray winning the main event to be honest. Cena and AJ are surely facing each other at Summerslam?

This is falling flat for me.

It feels like one of those "through the motions" RAWs from three months back. How can they get it so wrong when RAW was brilliant?

JBL is just screaming over the commentary team. Otunga seems lost. The divas segment made no sense whatsoever to just send everybody out at once.

The roster feels thin - as shown by the battle royal being filled with tag teams plus a surprisingly earlyly eliminated Del Rio (and "Sin Cara" as the commentary team called him.) Kane looked good in the match though.

There's little comparison.

Fatal Four Ways (RAW) > Battle Royal
Finn pay off > Crews pay off
Sasha/Charlotte > Becky/Natalya
Etc.

MR is excellent on commentary. Renee is great in the interviewing role. Least that's two positives.

I thought SmackDown got the better roster in the draft and I'm enjoying tonight more than RAW. The IC champion unnecessarily being easily beaten by Orton has been the lowest point, and Rhyno seems like an odd choice of person to bring back for the "New Era" but the rest has been enjoyable by modern WWE standards.

Still intrigued to see what will happen with the SD womens division. You'd think they'd have announced a new belt tonight if there were plans for one, considering RAW packed a few big moments into their 1st post-draft show.

You of course have the right to your opinion, but would be interested what elements of tonight have been superior to yesterday?

I've seen worse RAWs but Balor's meteoric rise annoyed me (I don't think anyone should be pushed that far, so quickly, and Balor didn't impress me much regardless).

Nothing has annoyed me on SmackDown as much. Cena and Orton are the two I care most about on the whole roster, and are now both SmackDown exclusive plus the wider main event scene on SD (with Ambrose and Styles) appeals to me more than the RAW equivalent. The only two women I was familiar with tonight were Natalya, and to a lesser extent, Becky Lynch so it was interesting to be introduced to the others. SmackDown having, albeit random, returns of the likes of Benjamin and Rhyno is something different too and more exciting than a Nia Jax debut.

I'm still pessimistic about the future of both shows but neither show has been terrible this week, with SmackDown being my favourite.

Well I can't say that's not a surprise result, not sure how excited I actually am. Still Finn gets to main event Summerslam on his first ppv, thats pretty awesome.

and to think ziggler vs ambrose (during his shield solo run days) was pre show ppv match quality and now its main eventing summerslam.

Hate to say it but I thought Smackdown was a bit underwhelming compared to Raw can't believe Dolph Ziggler won the 6 pack challenge with a frickin superkick and is now facing Dean Ambrose at Summerslam for the WWE title seriously Dolph Ziggler? Also thought Miz getting beat by Randy in a short match was ridiculous but hey at least tonight's show gave me a few laughs like that Eva Marie introduction, Heath Slater promo, and the irony of Ambrose, Ziggler, and Bryan being at one point in the same ring over a year on since that infamous your a turd promo.

They are pretty much the only women worth watching on Smackdown though lol.
With all those Divas on Smackdown maybe its time to give Smackdown the Divas title.

You missed absolutely nothing. Also, not liking Bliss. And dont particularly think she's that good looking either. Not compared to Carmella anyway
She was never that great in NXT anyway. Most overratted Diva on there yet she went over everyone until she met Bayley.

Boooooooooooo Cena
Boooooooooo Richie!

I don't see why EVERYTHING has to be different. A pre-show panel doesn't really matter.
I never watched the Preshow unless it featured a match but I do miss the Post Show alough I would have probably enjoyed the Post Show more if it actually showed stuff after they went off the air as in extra matches.

Oh the roster is stupid. Maybe I'm wrong but just want to say I'm not dave_windows, I'm talking in kayfabe that's all.
I agree on the roster. There are certain guys on Raw would I would have had on Smackdown. FMKK doesnt really come across as a wrestling fan the way he keeps calling the show that F word. Yeah we know it but a true fan wouldnt keep using that word and alot of wrestlers do take exception to it.

By the way Hollie Id like to see your dream roster of smackdown so we can compare each others choices.
