None of you will know this since none of you follow his podcasts but Vince Russo has already laughed and joked about horrible ideas of his in all 3 companies. At the end of the day it's wrestling, it's a joke anyway, it's a show, it's not meant to be taken seriously. You can't have everything serious. The only thing that matters is whether people watch it or not. That is all that matters. That is what the WWE should thinking about just now. Getting people to watch.
And if they had any sense they would line all those women up, line all those male indie workers up and fire every one of them cause none of them will ever be stars, they wont draw any money
Like I said if the numbers were going the other way then we would be idiots. I think FMKK is the same way. Someone that doesn't want to be told the truth, can't stand it and that's ok. I know people in real life the same way. They don't want to be told anything other than what they want to hear. People in general don't like to hear the truth. I want wrestling to be great again.
And guys, do yourselves a favour if you really are adults, don't sit and believe things you read online especially in dirtsheets. Cold hard facts are all that's needed. Dirtsheets are just people using clickbait to make money. They are giving their opinions and mixing it in with blatant lies. FMKK I think you are someone that literally believes what you are told. You probably believe everything, all those charity videos they do, all those 24 hour shows without even realising it's all one big fake work. Do you believe everything JBL tells you in his interviews? Do you believe everything the McMahons tell you? Do you believe what Dave Meltzer tells you? Not one thing can be backed up with cold hard facts.
But what can be? Contracts. Dates of employment. Ratings. We can literally look at the ratings Vince Russo helped produce at all 3 companies by looking at the times he worked there. Vince Russo had a 2 year contract at WCW but worked only 9 months, we know what those 9 months were hence we can look at those ratings and compare them to the other 15 months he wasn't.
TNA? We can look at the ratings he helped get on Spike TV. We can also look at the ratings on Spike TV AFTER he left, they were doing over 1 million viewers on Spike on a weekly basis when he was there, they even reached 2 million viewers on 2 separate occasions, the last one being the Impact after Bound For Glory 2010 where the first 45 minutes of the show featured nothing but talking. Those 45 minutes from minute 1 to minute 45 saw the rating rising, the talking outdrew the wrestling. We can also look at TNA's last shows on Spike TV without Russo. We can then look at the ratings on DA and now on POP TV and they've went from a height of 2 million viewers to a consistent 1+ million to now 300,000. Not that 2 million is a great number to brag about or even 1.1 or 1.2 million but the fact is that company saw it's highest ratings under his watch. He might not have booked it on his own but he had input int it, the same people that had input in the show are the same people that were there after he was let go. Just like the WWF did. WCW also saw increases in their ratings when he was there the first 2 times.
And people always bring up him consulting for TNA and it being a secret. That was Dixie Carter's decision. Jeff Jarrett still hasn't spoken to him since then. Vince Russo approached Karen Jarrett at the Wrestlecon even in April and she burst into tears and he didn't want to repeat what she said to him but he said a lot of things came to light that he never knew about, things that went back to 2002 that he had no idea of and now the Jarretts know he knew nothing about. Vince kissed Jeff on the cheek in front of everyone and told him he loves him and Jeff still couldn't bring himself to talk to him. That situation caused many problems and what many people didn't know and Vince confirmed was that Eric Bischoff was also consulting for TNA and Eric was consistently burying the show but the real reason TNA left Spike TV was because John Gaburick got rid of Eric Bischoff and the Spike TV execs loved Eric Bischoff and Eric was working with them on other programming just like he was helping produce TNA Impact. When Russo would send in his notes every week, so would Eric, Eric would bury the show, Vince did pretty much the same thing but would give suggestions, none of them were ever listened to by Dixie or John but what Eric was doing was sending those same notes into Spike TV so when he was burying the show to Dixie, he was also burying the show to Spike TV and when Dixie and John found out about that, John was the one that let Eric go despite the fact Eric's company was still helping produce the show. Once Eric was gone, Spike didn't want anything to do with TNA anymore because for the past few years at that point everything they said went through Eric and Eric got along great with them.
But of course that doesn't make good reading does it? That's not quite juicy enough for the dirtsheets. Is there anyone you fans would listen to? Shawn Michaels already laughed with Vince Russo at the fact pro wrestling doesn't exist anymore and the wrestlers laugh at the fact the fans keep watching and will never stop. Is Shawn not good enough? What about Steve Austin? Mick Foley? They all agree with Russo. Damien Sandow was interviewed last week. Adam Rose this week. Bob Backlund last week. Are they all liars too along with Shawn Michaels? I don't think so. Vince Russo is friends with many many people in the business, the only real hate seems to come from internet fans that have never met him and have only read stories from the dirtsheets.
The joke is on the fans. And for some of you on here, you're experiencing it in real life too. You're loved ones aren't wrong. 7 million Americans that no longer watch wrestling aren't wrong. I'm not wrong. Shawn Michaels isn't wrong. Damien Sandow isn't wrong. Bob Backlund isn't wrong. Steve Austin isn't wrong. We're not all wrong. This thread on page 17 isn't wrong. The people have gone. I've told you why. The business has changed for the worse.
