He literally explained it that way.
Oh, wanted Nikki to have an actual match but can't complain about them setting up feuds. Whereas Raw you can smell some of the filler for miles. He explained it quite badly. Made it sound at first as if AJ needed to win to be #1 Contender. Should've phrased it like 'To ensure it remains just you as the #1 Contender you need to win tonight' Hope those ducks get a seat on the tube.

What I do like about SD is that the show really does flow at the moment in a way Raw just doesn't (partly due to the 3 hours) and all the segments seem to have a useful purpose.

Yeah, Raw has better matches because it has more time to fill but Smackdown is a far easier show to watch. Quite enjoying this tonight.
I really do think Orton should be off TV a few weeks though. Really isn't selling Brock's brutality that both Shane and Randy seem fine and dandy again already. Do like the stage they're using for this show. |

Yeah, they could have kept him off for a week or even done a video link interview or something.

Orton really is up and down in terms of fan support.
At points (like recently) he's super-over with fans whereas other times they seem to not care and would happily have him retire. Ooh Orton/Wyatt. Should be a good feud. |

Bray Wyatt literally exists to transfer bigger stars out of top programmes. Took Bryan out of the title picture, took Cena out of the title picture, took Roman out of MITB, took Dean out of the Rollins feud and now moving Orton on from Lesnar.
Complete time filler. |

Smackdown seems to have done a bulk order on costumes with hoods.
I genuinely don't understand what the reason is behind half the Wyatt feuds. |

I feel like he was dragged down by the staleness of the whole Authority/heel act and being around forever. Now he's here on and off and seems to actually be enjoying himself so it's more endearing. He plays well to the audience and is kinda entering legend territory.
He really is a superstar that suits being around in short bursts rather than for years on end. He's great when he has a purpose - less so when in an endless feud with Sheamus. I just hope we get another starjump from Orton at some point.

I genuinely went aaaaww just then. I'd never have guessed a while ago that I'd be marking for Heath Slater.
![]() Imagine having to explain these two to a first time viewer.

Slater has been so good in the last few weeks!
I think they need to find a tag team partner for Apollo Crews as well because he's not ready to be a singles star yet. Also, kinda wondering how they'll fill out a PPV with all the women in one match. |

Oh my goodness, I hope she makes a big return at Backlash and just fights a jobber!
Eva Marie will take on and destroy all comers. I mean when has she ever backed down from a challenge? ![]() Have to say that Eva gimmick too is incredible. Turns 'go away' heat into 'heel heat' . |

Would the 30 days be up by then? Backlash is 19 days away or so.

Yeah, it's such a good gimmick. They'd be so much better to have more gimmicks like that to turn bad reactions into the right ones. Turn Reigns heel and make a big deal about how he thinks he's above all the indy guys etc. |

I assume the China show is the Raw crew. Especially since the SD PPV is the next day.
WTF Dean? He's in an exploding TV mood. I again make the point AJ Styles is face. |

19 days?! Oh god, not much time to build.

Turn Reigns heel and make a big deal about how he thinks he's above all the indy guys etc. There are a fair few people who quite clearly need turned. Yep Sept 11th is the PPV date. Apparently Eva had an idea where she'd hand out salt to the crowd and call her haters 'salty dogs' which sounds equally brilliant and a next step for the gimmick. |

Ooh plenty of time for this main event. Where's Cena tonight though?
I do love some of the random 'Ziggler facts' that appear on that sidebar. ![]() Ambrose doesn't seem to get the stipulation there. |
