I'm not sure if 'Face that runs the place' or 'Big Match John' is the more annoying Cenaism. Probably Big Match John - JBL spouts that every 5 seconds during a Cena PPV match.

If Ambrose were to turn it'd be only in theory - the crowd are just not going to boo him over Roman.
I still find it ridiculous Rollins and AJ are meant to be heel full stop.

Have to say the booking did a lot last night fir all three Shield men. Ambrose obvipusly is now champ, Rollins got a huge clean win there and actually backed up the talk which makes him look a million bucks. And Roman actually looked human for once which helps him far more than kicking out of 8 consecutive finishers like normally occurs.”

Lol. Big Match John. One of JBL's new things like:

"Mexico's greatest export!"

"If you were going to build a superstar from the ground up it would look like Randy Orton".

And Michael Cole actually said quote "Cena is the greatest of all time".

Really Cole?

No the crowd wouldn't boo him over Reigns, but remember WWE will probably try everything to get Reigns cheered so there's certainly a chance Ambrose turns on Reigns.

Thinking about Battleground I'm more convinced WWE will have the triple threat match there.

The Draft is on the first live Smackdown which is Tuesday 19th July, a few days before WWE Battleground.

Now we can assume the brand split will take effect from the next Raw, which is the Raw after Battleground.

WWE (apparently) wants to reintroduce a second world title. Now as the draft is the week leading up to Battleground WWE can't really build up to a match at the PPV as they won't know who's on which roster.

What they can do is hold a triple threat match with a screwy finish (two guys pin/make the other submit at the same time for example) leading to two wrestlers laying claim to a title.

Ideally if WWE are going to bring back another world title I think they should build up to it for Summerslam, however history has shown WWE don't always have wrestlers compete for titles and find an alternate way to introduce it. (i.e HHH presented with the WHC in 2002).

Just don't be surprised to see the Shield facing each other at Battleground and not Summerslam.

Belts mean nothing.

The only people that will get it are long term wrestling fans. I remember the first time round with the draft split one of the things I noticed people saying, casual fans, first of all they never understood why there was two belts and secondly they didn't understand what a draft/brand split was. It's very American. It doesn't happen in the UK, it doesn't happen in our sports and even as a fan at the time I found it hard explaining to people the REASONS why the two shows are separate and they have separate belts.

Not only did many not understand it but they found it silly why two people could be a champion. I seen that happen many many times. The only people that this is gonna appeal to are the people that are already watching. Preaching to the choir rather than trying to get new viewers and new people interested in wrestling. It might be different in America but all this talk of DRAFTS, it's all American. It just doesn't happen in the UK. New viewers if they did stumble upon it and get interested are not gonna take it all in and WHY it happens and WHY it is the way it is. In America there is drafts in other sports so it's a bit more varied but I wish them well.

My brother mentioned that to me - he thought that spot really should've ended the match given how cool it looked.

It really was a fantastic spot - looked so smooth and needed to be so well timed. Like the 'RKO of Death' at Mania 31 it'd be so easy to get wrong.

You missed the obvious one too - "BALLGAME, MAGGLE".

BIB - Yeah Cole get the memo. Vince will have us know it's obviously Roman.
Obviously from the Cole school of thought that brought us Cena/Del Rio - the all-time great rivalry.

I just think for how big a match the Shield triple threat is it should be on a Big 4 PPV. Especially since the editions of Battleground to date have been awful - if it hadn't been for the incredible Shield/BRhodes match the 2013 edition would feature in most of the 'worst 21st century PPVs' list.

Have the two World Titles been confirmed yet or is that still just rumours? I still don't like the idea. For me, if there's 2 World Titles a World title change doesn't feel as special as the two changes did last night

Also not to rag on Roman (I do that more than enough already) but I noticed in the video package for the main event he said something like "The Big Dawg is in the house". When on earth did he say that - I cringed ever so much hearing it?

I'm off to France early tomorrow to watch the Euros for a few days so won't be staying up for Raw to find out how WWE screw up last night's refreshing, brilliant booking. Will give it a watch when I get back though.
I'll still need to get over the shock of Dustin Johnson winning a major, Ambrose a World title and Roman being pinned clean all in the same night. All equally surprising lol.

Night guys.

I agree but I can't see her winning though which is a shame.

I'd much rather her next Women's Title match was one that she will win even if it takes a long time as she's lost too many Title matches in the last year and a half to AJ Lee, Nikki and Charlotte.

Still it was bound to happen when Paige had beaten Charlotte twice in the last month.

I would think that was a work for Total Divas

Otherwise she would have been immediately suspended and WWE would have been issuing a statement and she wouldn't be on Raw tonight

She probably wont (I'll be surprised if somehow she does) especially as she's been a Title match jobber since Night of Champions 2014.

I'd much prefer her to be a valet to Del Rio than always losing Title matches.

If Becky wants a friend who won't turn heel on her than she needs Bayley.

I doubt Bayley will ever be a heel.

I can never see Bayley as a heel.”

At this point if she tagged with Mary Poppins she would end up with a umbrella at back of the head.

So are The Wyatt Family returning as heels?
