Evening all. Long time no speak.

Everyone still enjoying WWE?

Thought No Mercy was a decent PPV. WWE Title match and IC Match were both good.

Don't know why they put the title match first though. Didn't make sense at all.

Saying that I do think Raw should have Sasha v Charlotte as the main event at HIAC. Just think it would be the best way to finalize the feud by having them main event the PPV inside the cell.

Have to say even though Raw has the better roster on paper (and had a good show in LA last week), Smackdown seems to be the more enjoyable show at the moment. Shane and Bryan don't dominate airtime anymore, they seem to have more direction with the current feuds, and in general it's been good to watch.

And good to see SD has picked up Luke Harper. Will be used much more effectively on Smackdown.

Still think Cesaro, Zayn and maybe even Neville (unless he's in the Cruiserweight Division) should move shows.

As mentioned Raw had a good show at the Staples Centre last week, but a few recent ones have dragged a tad recently. Hopefully they continue the momentum from last week's show.

WWE.com announced the following teaser for tonight's RAW:

With WWE 2K17 poised to take millions of gamers to Suplex City when it’s released tomorrow, Brock Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman will be appearing live on Raw tonight.

Will the audacious associate of The Beast Incarnate reveal Lesnar’s next move, or perhaps his next opponent? There’s been rampant speculation on social media about when The Anomaly will re-emerge and who will face his wrath. Tonight, we just might get an answer.

I caught No Mercy today and it was alright.

I still don't think the WWE is putting any effort into their shows at all. I don't think they will get above a 2.0 for the rest of the football season, do you know what I think it is? It's alright if you've nothing else to do. If you've got nothing else to do with your time, if you've nothing else to do it's fine, you could spend all the hours in the week watching wrestling. But if you have other things to do or watch, there's nothing wrestling can give you that you can't get anywhere else.

Wrestling was always a camp version of other genres.

Sports.
Soap operas.
Entertainment.
Drama.

These days you can find high quality sporting action across dozens of sports channels which show sports content 24 hours per day.

There's soap operas on TV drawing millions of viewers daily. That's covered now.

Entertainment? There's shows like The X Factor and Britains Got Talent and now the huge baking show The Great British Bake Off.

Drama? My goodness, there's TV shows now that literally have millions of pounds and dollars pumped into them. Some of the biggest and best actors in the world aren't in movies anymore, they're on TV, TV is where it's at. It's where the best writing is, the best acting, you can't get better than that.

So I think WWE and wrestling are at a huge disadvantage. Look at all those things. There's not one thing the WWE or any other wrestling company does that isn't already being done better on another channel. And then they want you to sit and watch 5 hours of it across 2 nights? Again, if you're not doing anything or you've nothing else and no priorities you'll manage it but most people have got other issues, real life issues, even watching a 1 hour program is a lot to ask. It's a privelidge really. They should be thankful to the ones that do sit there faithfully for 5 hours a week and then maybe another 2 hours with NXT and Main Event. A hell of a lot to ask of anyone.

Quite enjoyed that opening. Think Sasha and Charlotte will get me watching hiac.

Shame their segment is over, nothing else on Raw keeps me interested atm. Maybe if I thought something would happen but it will just be a bunch of squash matches, storylines going no where and Heyman laying down a challenge to Goldberg

They wouldn't go this far with the Goldberg stuff unless he had already signed.

I actually agree. I watch so little TV these days cause I'm usually busy with work or socially and most of my entertainment is online. WWE's endless slog of programming is too much to keep up with outside of YouTube, reading a review and maybe catching some of the best stuff in full later. For them to be successful they need larger than life stars and/or hot week-to-week angles where the story builds. The only really good story that's been developed recently is the Ziggler and Miz retirement thing, which is wrestling 101. But without a guy of Hogan, Austin or Rock level charisma then the company isn't getting hot again any time soon. The problem is that the booking, the writing, the working style and the endless hours of TV kill off any chance of that ever happening. Wrestling in general would be better served artistically/stylistically to have one 90-120 minute show per week with 4 or 5 well written storylines that are planned in advance and intertwined and then a 3 hour show every 6-8 weeks to either kick them to the next level or resolve them. Instead everything kinda just plods and meanders endlessly and without meaning or significance.

Flash and Arrow on Sky1.

What about Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow they start this week in the US (In fact Supergirl has just been on I'll be watching that after Raw)

Isn't Sky 1 getting them as if do the 4 night crossover is screwed (For UK pace viewers)

A grand totally of 18 comments during Raw, with over a third of them from one poster. Talk about being in the doldrums.

Raw is dead. It is a very tired format that goes on to long. To try and save it they are bringing back a old guy to job out to a guy who hates wrestling.

Just watched opening segment and thought it was really good. They then put Charlotte in a team with Rusev? Was there a reason for that? They should have put Lana in her place to take the loss.

But excited for Women's Hell In A Cell and hoping this match closes the show.
