Then have the other do a run in and cause a DQ maybe double DQ and that leads to the Triple Threat

Can see both sides to this one. Could have been a big deal at Summerslam but on the other hand you need to also be making your other PPV's feel like a big deal. This match will help sell this show (granted there's no twists between now and then and it actually goes ahead).

Expect that Lesnar might be getting the winner at Summerslam too which is the reason why they've actually gone with it here. Thinking about it, I wouldn't have actually minded a Shield/Lesnar match for that matter, all have history together and it'd tie in well.

Could easily argue both points though. Can see why it's happening here but a match like this could easily be a headliner at a Summerslam or even Wrestlemania considering the history/story. Interesting one, although I agree a bit on the actual point of long builds in general. It's why I'm terrified they're going to f*ck up Bayley/Sasha when it happens on the main roster.

They're not really PPVs. They're $10 shows and that's what you get. You get the kind of quality for what you pay for.

I'll be interested in the Raw rating tonight at 9pm. I'm sure the Ambrose win will have bumped it up a little but it's not gonna fix anything. Time to get away from wrestling matches and belts and start going back to what wrestling used to be......entertainment. You can only prolong the inevitable for so long and everyone knew what was gonna happen. I read the results but even i knew it

Ambrose kicks off Raw.
Rollins interupts.
Reigns interupts.
The McMahons come out making the challengers fight to decide the number 1 contender.

Everyone knew that was coming. There's just nothing unpredictable going on. Just same old Wrestling from a bygone era. It's like Eric Biscoff says, if you watch David Copperfield and you know how his tricks are done, are you gonna pay $350 for a front row seat? Game Of Thrones is the biggest show on TV at the moment, if HBO gave you a full synopsis of spoilers for every episode before the season started would you sit and watch it? The answer to both is no.

So the question is why do fans of wrestling, and that number is getting smaller, sit and watch a TV show every week when they know exactly what's gonna happen and in what order it will happen. Is it really for the wrestling? Even Eric said it, no one's a 10, some are 8's. They're ok. No one's really any good but hey.........watch it anyway and we know who is gonna win every match.

Wrestling is a weird old business. It would never happen in any other business in the world or TV show or event. From Game Of Thrones to David Copperfield. What other thing exists in the world where millions of people sit and watch it YET they know everything that's gonna happen? Every match you know exactly who's gonna win and how they're gonna win, you can see it from a mile away. It's a weird thing and they open it right up to you. They constantly remind you ever Monday either directly or indirectly with a big massive WINK that what you are watching is a fake show. They don't even try to get you to suspend your disbelief or try and pretend what you are watching is real. It's like a big giant joke that everyone is in on except..........the business is dying. It's not a joke. It's hurting the business. All the credibility is right out the window.

They could have done an injury angle on Roman by Seth (Allegedly a heel so it could be done) and have a 1 on 1 at Battleground them Roman return for the 3 way at Summerslam. But that is too much long term planning for WWE these days

Of course their is always a chance they won't all be on the same show and it needs done before they are split and a 2nd championship is introduced

Finally got around to watching Money in the Bank. Excluding the US title match, the final three matches were brilliant. The booking and execution in the main event was spotless. In terms of ring psychology and selling, AJ Styles is light years above the likes of Neville, Kevin Owens and Apollo Crews.

I don't have a problem with them pulling the trigger on the triple threat for Battleground. It's been two years in the making, been teased and was semi-booked at Payback 2015. They still need to make what fans consider the B shows mean something.

Didn't watch Raw so apologies if covered but why did they need a #1 contenders match? Surely both Reigns and Rollins had rematch clauses to activate?

I am pretty sure they never actually said the winner was the ONLY one who got a shot, It was to see who faced Ambrose at the next ppv, The theory could have been that the loser just got theirs later

But why did they book him to be in a triple threat match at Battleground?

It would appear this has only come to light after Raw.

Plus the fact he violated the policy. No way WWE is going to put the title back on him so quickly after that.

Didn't see the Reigns suspension coming.

Wonder if he will be treated differently upon his return?

All those who said Roman wasn't tested as he was 'the guy' looks like they were wrong

Must have happened after the PPV and maybe Raw or they would have used Raw to write him out properly you have to think

Since Mizs gimmick is a delusional movie star he could just announce that he has been defending the IC title against movie stars like George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

Wouldn't be surprised if Roman did this on purpose - isn't marijuana something which would get a performer suspended?

Despite being being pushed as the top guy and earning the money that goes with it, he's looked increasingly fed up with his situation. There was even a report started 'heeling' on fans after Payback.

Yep a business that has just signed a multi year deal in a major market is dying.

Compete lack of understanding how a multi media company works in 2016.

Wow, that has surprised me. Silly boy Roman, being pushed to the hills (despite the other night as he would eventually come out on top I believe) not sure to much will change with him when back though.

Ask RVD.

Shame it wasn't Ambrose who got suspended. Can't stand him.

Plus where the **** is Hideo Itami these days?

The nonsense of WWE internal politics shows it's face. They insist to pushing guys with a certain look to the very top, but it's a look that requires supplements to attain, which they'll ban you for. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind though that Reigns is just one of a long list of wrestlers using steroids, hormones or whatever. Either he was just to careless to beat the test or he's being hung out to dry for something.

George Barrios has said the Q2 network figures should have a 25% increase from Q1 at around 1.5m paid.

He's also given an update on TV. The US deal is up Q3 of 2019 and the UK & India runs through Q4.
