These women being potentially the first to ever main event a PPV should have been a huge thing and I just feel so meh about it. It's not through Sasha and Charlotte's work who I think have been great at selling the match but (seemingly) Vince being unwilling to push women as THE main event.
Behind Ziggler and Miz, this has been my favourite story and to their credit I think they've got it mostly right but it's nagging at me how poor they've been about pushing these two women to headline a PPV.
I'm not asking for a WM (yet) but there is no reason women shouldn't be the headline of Raw or Smackdown or some b-level PPV.
The match may go on last but IMO, it isn't the main event that it very much should be and I find that sad.”

I agree with this and basically what Meltzer has said about it. If they announced that it was going to be the main event one month ago, then they could have hyped it really strongly. But they're decided last minute so they can't get anything extra out of it being on last and they'll never be able to hype a 'first time ever' for women main eventing a PPV again. So it's a wasted opportunity.
But I'll just be glad to have a women's feud that's actually about an issue between the two characters rather than all the back-slapping about making history and shit. The way this has been built, they'd be better cancelling the match and just bringing Sasha, Charlotte, Foley and Stephanie down to the ring to pat each other on the back and present themselves with a big certificate for 'making history.'
