Yes kicks where the person is standing. In what fight have you ever seen a grown man, WHILE STANDING, try and lift their leg up to reach the other persons head? I've no problem with kicks to the stomach or groin but you don't have men standing up then trying to swing their legs in the air to kick the other person on the head and what's more.........you don't have the other guy stand there and not put his hands up.
Same with wrestlers punching, the HD cameras give the game away, you can see their hands not connecting and again, the wrestlers NEVER put their hands up to protect themselves so you just have people punching air so it's not benefitting anyone, it's not doing the business any favours and if they want to aim the show at kids and families, most kids have fought at school.
It's right up there with the wrestler in the corner getting punched 10 times and the other person not putting their hands up, not believable.
It's up there with the ref in tag team matches playing dumb and he can't see what's going on behind his back.
Wrestling seriously needs to move ahead a good 20 years and this Cell nonsense, basically free TV matches inside a cage which never does anything or affects anything in the match needs to go aswell. Again I think it's a case of the people working there being so close to it, so involved in it that they have no idea how it comes across to regular everyday people. It just doesn't work in 2016 and we are nearly in 2017. At least try and make it believable. And they'll do this cruiserweight stuff and what's that about? Just showing off. The average person on the street would take one look at that and turn it off, it's not believable. The whole point of a wrestling match is to pin the other person, it's to hurt the other person. It's nearly 2017, it's time to move on.
Even this promo thing they are showing. Wrestlers talking with a camera facing them but never looking at the actual camera. It was fine in the Attitude Era when Vince Russo was giving you soap opera 101, but it has no place in modern wrestling.
And speaking of VInce Russo, he already name dropped Kevin Nash, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Vader, Ron Simmons as people that don't watch WWE on TV. He speaks to them all regularly and he says you know it's bad when some of the biggest names in the business can't stand to sit and watch it, he says when they can't be bothered to watch Raw or Smackdown you'd think heads would turn at the WWE and maybe they'd get a clue, especially Austin and Michaels, you'd think the penny would drop that two of your biggest stars can't stand it. But of course nothing will change.
And another thing Russo said i agree with, what is it with the male fans at these shows? There's no sexuality in WWE. There's no sexuality with the women except Lana, all the women are wrestlers and they look like wrestlers. Wrestling has always had beautiful attractive sexy women and now it's all the wrestling and only wrestling and you've got an arena of fans wanting fat Kevin Owens, they'd rather sit and watch fat Kevin Owens than look at beautiful attractive women? Right there you know there's something going on lol. Just something with the whole thing and the WWE is in on it too. Even the wrestlers used to look like men, these current wrestlers look like young boys. Young boys, not grown men. The kind of men women would come to the wrestling to see, the kind of men other men wanted to look like. I just don't get it.
