Maybe WWE should use King of the Ring, Queen of the Ring, Cruiseweight Classic and Tag Team Turmoil tournament as shows similar to the Ultimate Fighter concept, where you rotate them over the course of a year.

I agree. They should have a womens wrestling show too and an Iron Man PPV and just have 3 60 minute Iron Man matches.

Basically wrestling. So much wrestling that it's coming out our ears.

These would be network shows aimed at hardcore fans. Plenty other shows and concepts to be aimed at more casual fans.

For 2018, the events would be switched so Judgement Day would move to second weekend in Feb, No Way Out would go to fourth weekend which means SD! Would get the sixth branded event of the year.

I know it won't work out like this for clarity but wanted to show it can work thanks to the brand split. The wait between PPV is short but thanks to the brands the amount of build for each brand shouldn't be impaacted that much.”

Second May becomes a gimmick event which alternates between Hell In A Cell, Elimination Chamber and No Way Out (which features Cage matches) with December alternating between TLC and Extreme Rules. So we only get 2 gimmicks a year and they alternate so the gimmicks don't get overused.

Said it before, ill say it again. Im bloody wasted here.”

Lol. You've put more thought into it than WWE has.

If the rumours are true and it's only Royal Rumble, WM, Summerslam and SS that will be dual branded, then you're looking at January, March, August and November with one PPV. Every other month has two shows with a total of 20 shows.

I imagine it would look something like this:

January: Royal Rumble (Dual)
February: No Way Out (Raw), Fast Lane (Smackdown)
March: Wrestlemania (Dual)
April: Backlash (Raw), Extreme Rules (Smackdown)
May: Payback (Raw), Judgment Day (Smackdown)
June: MITB (Raw), KOTR (Smackdown)
July: Fully Loaded (Raw), Battleground (Smackdown)
August: Summerslam (Dual)
September: Unforgiven (Raw), Vengeance (Smackdown)
October: HIAC (Raw), No Mercy (Smackdown)
November: S. Series (Dual)
December: TLC (Raw), Elimination Chamber (Smackdown)

I imagine WWE will keep many of the gimmick PPV's.

If WWE wants to keep MITB and not have it dual branded they could give it to Raw for example and Smackdown could have King of the Ring. Then both brands have a way for someone to earn a Number 1 contender slot.

I've put the classic PPV names in the months they used to be in (Backlash - April, Fully Loaded - July). WWE could obviously change it totally around.

This is just what I think WWE could likely do.

Hate to be pedantic but they surely won't revive Fully Loaded. It was abolished back in 2001 due to 9/11 and in light of the shootings in recent years, WWE won't want the association with guns.

I honestly didn't know that was the reason for the dropping of Fully Loaded. I like the name a lot

Yeah that's a fair point.

It would be something like Vengeance or Great American Bash/The Bash then I suppose. A name that's been used in July before.

I do know they dropped Armageddon in 2001 for the same reason, but then decided to reinstate it in 2002.

Also why Raw is War became Raw.

That's cheered me right up!

Not too fond of having more than one PPV a month (for most months). That's one of my problems with WWE. They try too hard to give us content to the extent that it becomes counterproductive. I'd be happier if WWE only had fours hours of TV a week and made us wait and actually want to see the talent. Monthly brand-exclusive PPVs won't give storylines a chance to rest. You just know that WWE will run out of ideas quickly.

NXT does that really well. They don't have the talent appear on every show. NXT can get away with it due to the format it's recorded. The main roster can do something similar. They need to rest some talent/storylines on some weeks. All thats needed is a video package, pre-recorded interview etc. in order to get away with resting the talent and making us want to see them. Yes, it won't be a popular decision with the live audience. However, those talent rested for the main shows could appear in dark matches.

Apologies for that. Just thought I'd give my insight.

Yeah i remember reading about Raw being changed because of 9/11. Again, Raw Is War was a great name and I blimmin loved https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_NQLnPoaL4Y this intro song

I know it would be a crazy move in a lot of ways, but in my opinion they should axe the Raw name with the arrival of the 2nd brand extension. Not sure about what to do with Smackdown but the network specials need to really become the main 'show'.

Monday Night WWE is more fitting.

The CWC starts tonight.

Should be some great matches with the talents involved and some exciting viewing when it appears on the Network.

At the end of the day it's 2016. It's time to move on from the past. Names by and large mean nothing, it's the content that matters.

Not to bring everyone down or anything, but given the drop in the value of the Pound against the Dollar, and the UK is the only country that has the WWE Network charged in the local currency (pound sterling) rather than in US Dollars, who reckons that WWE will use this to put up the price of the Network in the UK?

What is your dream NXT vs WWE match?

Mine is Shinsuke Nakamura vs Randy Orton.

Doubtful. The 9.99 thing fits in too much with their business model. I mean the £ to $ has fallen, but it hasn't collapsed. It will rise again as in supply and demand somebody gains from a low sterling, which eventually bumps it back up. Question is when due to so much uncertainty.

Even minus VAT they're taking more than $9.99 from us.

What in the hell is Natalya trying to do here?

Looks ****ing awful. Crap like that really takes you out of a match.

Also what's with Gallows 'ski thing he adds on to words. Is it meant to be funny?

She was waiting for Charlotte to get back into the ring. Really did look awful and I think it is fair to say one would expect better from a 'veteran wrestler.'

Not really - what could've been a great build (don't chuckle) is now going to have the elephant in the room that one of the participants isn't there during the build. That said I'll more than cope with a few weeks of Rollins and Ambrose.

I still think it's a mistake too doing the triple threat at Battleground anyway - it's a huge match and one of the few big match-ups that WWE hasn't yet done and it's taking place at what is a filler PPV and where Ambrose really should be retaining the title.
For me, it should be taking place at Summerslam (they could've found some sort of screwy ending on Raw and at Battleground to lead to it) at the earliest.

That said there's the obvious point here of a draft which may be why they're keen to do the match at Battleground - one of the three may not be on the same brand as the other two (that said it's probably unlikely Vince knows what he wants yet). Though even then I think the triple threat should be delayed and have them actually face at Mania with a less certain outcome.

Shame on all the above as I actually rather enjoyed Raw - first time this year - and the various dynamics there. It wasn't groundbreaking but really enjoyable storytelling and the three just instantly make each other better. I liked the fact it was shades of grey thing too - all three had understandable opinions and reasonable points rather than the usual WWE scenario where any subtlety is lacking and WWE try to bash us over the head that X is heel, Y is face.
I just didn't want it to lead to a triple threat but hey that's what we got.

Frankly they should just take the opportunity to turn Roman heel at this point. Especially after the suspension and the fact even in front of a very marky crowd on Raw (who cheered the faces and booed the heels most of the night) Reigns was getting plenty of boos.

Oh goodness. They really did mean 2 PPVs a month. That seems a bit much on paper.

Especially since every 2 weeks or so we'll have 3 nights of WWE back to back. Nice to see some of the old names back though. Hopefully No Way Out makes a return at some point.

What are the odds JBL mentions Brexit on Raw?

Ooh I'll add this to my drinking game list.. I'm off on sick from work at the moment so I can have a bottle of wine and enjoy raw

As for ideal NXT vs WWE match.., I was going to say Tamina vs Nia Jax but I'll settle for Nakamura vs Cesaro for some unknown reason . King of Strong Style vs King of Swing

I have to praise AJ Styles. Really become a fan of his work - of course he's a fantastic wrestler but right now his character work is great too. I worried about his mic skills but he's actually really good and I even like the look now.

There's a strong argument in my view that this far he's the WWE Superstar of the Year

You just hope he isn't another LolCenaWins victim and Rybacked. He needed that win at MITB badly.

There are reports WWE now value him highly and were impressed and influenced by the crowd Rumble reaction towards him but not sure how much I believe that given how willingly and forcefully WWE have ignored fans at times this year.

Goodness a Raw drinking game - that really must be deadly with some of the usual buzzwords that appear every week.

I assume there's no drinks for when JBL says Maggle as you still seem well.

I get the feeling it will be a best of three which Cena doesn't win for a change. Even cheating on both occasions and Cena winning clean at Battleground, it would be enough to keep Styles in a strong enough position to move him back into the title scene. I can imagine him being world champion by the end of the year.
