Let's just see how this pans out first and foremost, then we can speculate beyond this, with a more firmer sense, but if they did have a different show for each popular wrestling region, would that really be such a bad thing?

It is not as if all independent wrestling shows or promotions will just stop because of this show, be it a touring one, or just one in one place consistently, there are just far too many wrestlers out there, who all need a place to perform, for WWE to put an end to the indies, like they supposedly did to the territories (they did it more to themselves to be fair I think, through bad management and other things).

That suspension end last week. Paige is still out recovering from her neck operation from the same surgeon that did Nikki Bella's neck suggesting Paige will be out for some time recovering, especially as the surgeon found her hernia was far more serious than first thought. Also the surgeon put three screws in her neck to straighten it.

If Paige is still with the WWE after she recovers I think it would be better for her to go back to NXT for a while helping the next group of female wrestlers whilst working on a new angle for herself competing in NXT. The anti Diva tag went wrong after she came onto the main roster, and putting her in Total Divas has made things worse.

Paige I think would be better off with a Steve Austin type angle, of neither face or heel but in between without the annoying "This is my house" arrogance, and more playing to the crowd about raising hell in the ring.

Yeah she deff needs to go back to NXT, her past few appearances in WWE have not been like they were when she was NXT.

The owner of New Japan posted this on twitter today-

"WWE strategy 1: raise roughly 2 billion Yen from the network to create a network of global territories and tie up talent. It’s very possible WWE purchase a promotion in Japan. WWE are shoring up their network because of cable cutters and prevalence of streaming, meaning declining TV ratings. The cable TV structure as is will collapse in the US within 3-5 years. There are many reasons for WWE to create local territories. It cuts cost just to send talent on international tours and not the whole infrastructure. WWE are only functionally profitable in the U.S., Canada and U.K. They have TV elsewhere but that's all. By creating territories, they're able to actually create products with awareness of cultural differences and characteristics of markets. WWE have had difficulty in creating new stars. By going to local territories and broadcasting them, they can create network stars. WWE are taking big gambles, in IT for one. This isn't the platform to discuss NJPW strategy fully but we will announce something soon. We are entering a phase where you are either with WWE or against them. WWE have a lot of weaknesses and time is not on their side."

Anyone know if there is actually a ten minute stipulation attached to the zayn and strowman match? Does it just end after ten minutes is up?

They haven't really explained it very well.

They may want to decide as they go along but usually in those kind of matches if Zayn lasts 10 mins he wins the match as he's only got to last not get a pin/submission.

But they may say if nobody has won after 10 mins it's a draw.

The reason for the match is to show that Sami can last 10 minutes with Strowman but not allow Strowman to get pinned or submit. So neither man actually gets pinned or submits, Strowman still gets to dominate the match and look the strongest but Sami surviving the 10 minutes also makes him look tough.

Yeah I get that, it's just that WWE haven't made it clear how the match will work. My assumption is that it will just finish at ten minutes.

It might be the same like the Dibiase/Dustin match.

Anyone looking forward to Roadblock??

Such a poor name for a ppv by the way.

^ Considering we already had one earlier in the year. But this one called Roadblock: End of the line, so i guess that´s different enough in WWE´s eye.

Surely one of the better names, though? I cannot stand PPV's named after match types - they sound so... childish.

I'm now off work for Christmas so I might as well stay up to watch it tonight even though my expectations for tonight's show aren't that great do think that Sasha/Charlotte once again could steal the show though.

Apparently so cause WWE think their fans are so fickle and forgetful.

Also I see that we once again have this dilemma of having 2 separate threads Im sticking with this thread just to show you all where my loyalties lie.

Two threads. Yay!

The last thread lasted for well over 6 months. So based on the declining ratings, people being fed up with WWE and people who post nowadays, i´d say this thread will last about 1 year maybe. Okay let´s go with 8-10 months.

Ohh, 999 from James, I would be gutted about that, I would definitely want a nice round figure to finish off!

It was an obvious promotion tactic for the network

Looking at Roadblock (End Of The Line) it's seems one of the least predictable cards in a long time pretty much all of the matches could go either way.

We don't mind members taking the initiative to start the next part of a thread, however this thread isn't even at 10,000 posts yet and we've only just past halfway through December. For this reason we have merged the threads back so this can continue to be used. POST IT IN MAAAAAAAAAAAN!

I did think that it seemed a little early for the reboot of the thread.

I'm still expecting there to be confusion tonight in the zayn v strowman match. I think it's supposed to be that if zayn lasts ten minutes then the match ends. Not that zayn will be the winner just that the contest stops. However I can imagine the announcer getting confused and announcing zayn as the winner or something.
