The WWE know hardly anyone is gonna watch tomorrow night in America so no effort will be made.
I can't get over this whol Cornette/Russo situation.
I already watched the video on Friday afternoon, everyone else will be able to hear it on Podcast One tomorrow and Vince Russo openly calls out Jim Cornette to talk to him face to face or even on Cornette's own podcast after his 45 minute rant last week.
What people will be able to hear is the truth as it went down without Cornette's spin on everything. I find it worrying that Jim Cornette would openly state that he wants Russo to kill himself when one of the things Russo talks about weekly is his battle with depression which he has suffered with his own life. I don't think Russo would do anything like that but to tell someone who already deals with depression to go kill themself is pretty extreme.
I also didn't like that fact that some of the writers from PWI and PWTorch had favourited tweets from fans saying they also wish Russo would kill himself.
I can only look at what Jim Cornette says and does and realise this is a crazy man. Steve Austin got Vince Russo his gig at Podcast One. Steve has had him on his show 3 times now. He's been on Jim Ross podcast several times too. Russo also this week talked to Dutch Mantel and Kevin Sullivan. VInce Russo is still friends with Shawn Michaels, still talks to Ric Flair regularly. I don't know what Jim Cornette does on his podcast or website but to me that looks like some of the biggest names in the business that still talk to Vince Russo regularly on the phone and come on his show willingly as friends. I don't know how many of them are in contact with Jim Cornette or how relevant he is. The Disco Inferno said on Friday that it's well known in the business what a liar Jim Cornette is and people tend to just laugh at him. Jim seems to be taking it too far.
Again it just shows me that a lof people in this IWC are the wrong people to mix with. I was looking at some of their Twitter accounts and most of them are young teenagers, kids basically, kids that weren't even alive 20 years ago let alone watching wrestling and then the grown men that again want someone to kill themself.
Jim Cornette still refuses to talk to Vince Russo.
Jim Ross, who Jim Cornette apparantly loves so much, he loves talking about JR, JR asked him to come on his podcast and he would be the middle man between them and try and sort it out. Jim Cornette refused.
Jim Cornette and Vince Russo were scheduled to do a convention in November this year, Cornette pulled out because he would be there.
There is once again a public invitation to Jim Cornette to speak to Vince Russo face to face and Cornette has said no again. But he has said that he wished he had Vince Russo's phone number.
Which is Cornette's style. Back in 1999 when Vince Russo left WWE, Russo called Vince McMahon on the Monday after spending all weekend with WCW execs making sure he got the right money and it was a 2 year contract. Vince Russo did not want to be 40 years old and in the wrestling business nor did he want to give anymore of his life to wrestling. Vince McMahon wanted Russo to write both Raw and Smackdown and it was too much, Russo had 3 young children and McMahon told him to hire a nanny to bring up his kids. Russo told him no nanny was bringing his children up and after 5 years of writing of his TV shows and giving him the highest ratings in wrestling history he was surprised McMahon thought so little of him, all because Vince Russo couldn't cope with writing both Raw and Smackdown. The very day Russo called McMahon was Monday, Russo was at that nights WCW Nitro, once Cornette got word that Russo left, Cornette called Vince Russo's home number and left a message on the answering machine telling him that he was going to kill him knowing that either his wife or kids would pick up the message. This gets back to Russo who then calls Vince McMahon and threatens to sue him if he hears another word from Jim Cornette.
I just don't see why he talks all this talk yet wont talk to him. What kind of man talks to the wife and kids and not the man of the house? And then in 2006 he again called Vince Russo and again threatened to kill him which is when the TNA lawyers got involved. When I look at the names I mentioned earlier. And even Adam Rose this week who looks great bald lol, Damien Sandow, and there's others coming on his show soon, to the legends, there's so many that agree with Vince Russo's style of booking. Is that what makes Cornette angry? So many of these people including his besties like Jim Ross and Dutch Mantel are still friends with Russo to this day?
And the reason the dirtsheets hate Vince Russo is because he did the job they wanted to do. Dave Meltzer is also angry for this reason. Dave Meltzer and those dirtsheet writers have never been in a wrestling locker room in their life. They've never done a days work in the wrestling business but that's what they WANT to do. They clearly want a job writing columns on the website or reporting, they hate the fact that Russo did it for 25 years. They don't like it when Vince Russo says he just had a 2 hour phone conversation with Steve Austin for the hell of it, or he's asking Shawn Michaels how his family are getting on and if they have plans for the Summer or catching up with Dutch Mantel and Kevin Sullivan. They wish they knew these people that well that they could do that, but they can't do it because they're not in the wrestling business nor will they ever be. All they do is make up stories about a fake business.
But to "like" tweets telling someone to kill themself is a new low even for them especially when it's someone who openly talks about depression and that's just one thing. There's many people out there with problems. Some people abused sexually and physically as children. Some abused sexually and physically as teenagers and adults. Mental issues that will never go away not even under medication. People can be very dismissive and cruel. And to say that you hope someone kills themself and to have others repeat that and like it and say it themselves in their own words is just horrible And to think that this all stems from fake wrestling. Sad. And that's one thing Jim doesnt like. He doesn't like that word. That F word. It's true Jim. It was true in the 1940s, it was true in the 1980s and it's true to this day. That's the kind of people that are fans of wrestling now. Not the kind of people I want to be associated with.
