Just been watching the Bret vs Shawn Doc on the network. Whats everyones opinion on this?

At times I felt it was very much scripted but being a WWE produced piece sometimes it can be difficult to come across as genuine.

At the time I remember reading alot of stuff about how Shawn did the whole I lost my smile as a excuse because he didnt want to drop the title to Bret but on this Doc he says he was worried about his knee and seeing the doctor. So either he was lying or what the rumours were in Feb 97 were false.

Shawn is a lying sack of shit, that's all you need to know. At the time he was the biggest backstage politician, where do you think HHH acquired that particular skill from?

Never trust a word Shawn says about that time, I doubt he can even remember it clearly the amount of 'substance' in his body

Shawn admitted to always working the fans.

When he was on Vince Russo's show a few months ago he said that bit at his Hall of Fame speech where he ripped up his speech was just a piece of paper he found before he walked out but he knew all the marks would sit and believe he was really given a script to head and he was going against the WWE by ripping it up lol. Still working the marks and smarks right up till the end lol.

And of course he agreed with Russo on WWE pandering to the internet crowd, why would you pander to people who will never stop watching? lol. They'll watch on Monday, they'll bitch on Tuesday but one things for sure.............they ain't gonna stop watching! Why not focus your efforts on the millions of others that don't watch wrestling and try and get them to watch rather than giving the same fans what they want.

And Raw only drawing a 1.80 rating last week, finally under the 2.0s for the first time in 21 years. Male viewers at an all time low. This will be a good year for WWE for me anyway because I think this might be the year where WWE really is forced to change their way of working. Not just because of Raw but because of Smackdown next week, it's clear that the USA Network want the same numbers for Smackdown as they get for Raw which wont happen so I think with dwindling Raw numbers and low Smackdown numbers something will have to happen this year, at least from USA's end because otherwise it was pointless changing the days it airs on and with WWE getting paid an additional $60 million for their TV shows in America this year i'm sure the numbers will be getting looked at more closely than ever considering they have lost over 1 million viewers from Raw alone when that contract was signed.

So with that being said I hope Raw tonight is the usual fare. Indy workers, long matches, maybe a goody and a baddy talking in the arena and then a McMahon comes out and makes a match!, maybe some children themed entertainment in the last hour like the New Day, the kind of that should be on at 9am in the morning but ends up on TV late at night. Don't change WWE Just keep doing what you're doing.

One of the most notable things from the ratings decline is the people who they thought would always watch seems to have actually declined too. Stereotyping, but that's usually been the 18-49 males.

I have noticed posts counts on all big pro wrestling forums from across the web have dropped by quite a bit in the past couple of years. Especially during Raw's timeslot. The increase in social media sites will have played a part in this, but I wouldn't think by much.

Brock was paid very well over the weekend I see. He was paid $2.5 million not including any PPV money which could take his earnings to over $8 million!!

The next best paid fighter that night was only $500,000. He certainly gets himself some very good deals, fair play to him. He walks back in to the UFC after 5 years and earns the biggest one off payment by some distance in their whole history.

It's because he is one of the few who will go home and sit on the sofa and watch it, Most other guys will give in as they need to make their living. He knows they need him more than he needs them

Vince is back on Raw tonight.

Apparently he could name the COO's for Raw and Smackdown tonight.

If its not the McKids I'd be surprised.

Think Hazy's right. Because we saw his entrance, Apollo will win the Battle Royal.

Why?

Why Darren Young?

This could have been Sandow. It would have actually fitted in this as they had a previous feud.
