Really FMKK? Can you show me the documents which show that? Or if you don't have the documents can you show me Vince McMahon or Brock Lesnar mentioning his contract where that is confirmed?
Or is it a bit like WCW losing $60 million in one year? Another claim online where there is no paperwork or documentation to back it up. You have no idea of the mindset of Brock Lesnar. Same with CM Punk infact it doesn't have to be fighting, it could be any sport, anytime an athlete goes from one sport to another they accept things might not work out and they do it out of love. If Brock Lesnar went back there and won his fight there is no doubt that in HIS mind he would think he could do it all the time again and I wouldn't be surprised if he did go back. Not cause of the money but because he thinks he can still go at a competitive level and still do it. I'm not saying he will walk out on WWE but if he can make a career in UFC as a legit fighter then why go to WWE, a show where they piss their pants the minute a wrestler bleeds. |

Good thing Taker was always around.
![]() I agree, seeing the younger/newer talent establish themselves on the blue brand made me feel really happy and proud of them when they made themselves relevant. SD was always more interesting with its characters. Raw felt so forced and try-hard comedy rejects. Santino and Cryme Tyme come to mind. SD had its fair share of comedy characters too, but they had other dimensions in their characters and didn't just rely on comedy. Ziggler was one example that particularly sprung to mind of the benefits of the Brand Split. He debuted on Raw with that awful 'Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler' gimmick and was basically never appearing and heading towards the release door then got drafted to Smackdown (via the Supplementary Draft) and was having matches weekly and competing for the various mid-card titles in decent-length matches and actually getting a chance to prove himself. It's always interesting as well hearing who people associated as Raw/Superstarsuperstars. I always thought of Edge, Batista and Undertaker as 'Smackdown superstars' (despite the first 2 also appearing on Raw) and always associated the likes of Cena, Jericho and Orton as Raw Superstars (again despite all three once being Smackdown superstars). I even preferred the jobbers on Smackdown to Raw. Scotty 2 Hotty, Tatanka and Funaki were all rather endearing. Quote:
Hypocritical to tell somebody they don't know the mindset of Brock Lesnar when you, yourself, claimed to know what he'll do next and why.

Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
![]() For anyone who might want it. It's available as a t-shirt (and other things) from here. ![]() And I know it's hardly a compliment but they're better than the shite merchandise WWE produce. |

Just seen that Hardy promo that's been talked about. It was crap sure but it was funny. If TNA ever wants to start a movies division at least they have a starting point.
Latest news (or rumours) on WWE Brand Extension 2.0. - As has already been mentioned Roman Reigns is scheduled to be the top guy on Raw and John Cena is scheduled to be the equivalent on Smackdown. Seth Rollins is also due to be on Raw and AJ Styles on Smackdown as main heels. - They're still planning on having two world titles. (this could work) The US and IC Titles will be split. At the moment the Women's title could be brand exclusive and the tag titles would appear on both shows. - There's expected to be multiple call ups from NXT to fill both show's rosters. - The Draft edition of Raw (Not Smackdown, although it isn't actually live at that point) is supposed to happen July 11th, which makes sense as it's the week before the split. Interestingly Brock Lesnar is scheduled to appear at that Raw. Of course this is all rumour and could change 100 times between now and then. Speaking of NXT. Anticipating the next NXT Takeover. Should be some good matches. Aries and Nakamura has the potential to be a top quality match, though it nags me how poorly Austin Aries has been used since he arrived. They really haven't pushed him, his achievements and his career at all and it sort of feels he's becoming "a guy" in NXT. The fan reaction to him seems to suggest this too. Hopefully the match with Nakamura will allow him to show what he can really do in the ring. Revival vs American Alpha II could be another classic like the first. Maybe better. These two teams really are great and should have an awesome match. I do like how far Gargano and Ciampa have come in the division too and feel they are the natural next contenders for the titles after their win against the Revival on NXT. (Side note. How far have Blake and Murphy fallen? From Tag champs to losing streak to split. Who have they annoyed backstage?) Not sure how Nia Jax and Asuka will play out. It seemed obvious this match was going to happen at some point but just don't feel the excitement for this one. Can't imagine they'll have Asuka lose the title after a couple of months and of course they'll want to do Bayley/Asuka II but that means they'll have had Nia dominate the division twice now before ultimately losing to the current champion which doesn't help her. (BTW, Where has Eva Marie gone? Corey must be upset that she hasn't been on NXT for a while). Of course the NXT Title Match should be a great one. Has to be Joe that wins here. It appears to be only a matter of time before Balor is called up (for the draft?) and he's already enjoyed a long reign with the title. Not much point in putting it on him again. Joe meanwhile can move on and have feuds with guys like Nakamura and Aries for the title after winning this feud. And the debut of Andrade "Cien" Almas should be a good one too. Doesn't seem like that many matches, but some of them if given longer could be awesome. |

The NXT show the night before Summerslam would now be on at the same time as Nate Diaz v Conor McGregor II and this maybe why it appears to have been pulled.

I thought it turned out it was only a error that took it off. |

You want more and longer matches ICT? lol. You do realise the wrestling audience is at an all time low and you're wanting more of the stuff that is driving them away. Good grief. You couldn't make this stuff up lol.

So who in this era do we expect to see still wrestling in 2026?
Id lay money on Cena, Kane, Big Show, Rock & Triple H. I reckon Taker will have retired by then. |

UFC must be paying Lesnar a fortune as Lesnar must know it's likely Mark Hunt violently KO's him in the first round.
Weird WWE are allowing it though, as Lesnar will presumably be unable to do Summerslam if it happens. |

Do you have any proof that longer matches are driving viewers away? It's criminal how people like you Hazy continue to post the same old boring drivel on here.

Do you know what i have Sinister? Numbers. Factual numbers. Numbers that show how many eyeballs are watching on the television. Numbers that show how many house show tickets and TV tickets are sold.
Numbers never lie. You said to me can I prove that long matches and wrestling are driving the audience away. Yes I can. Do you know how I can do that? I can do that because the WWE is nothing but matches. Never mind the adverts or the ring entrances or the promos for their Network, the show features no storylines, no angles, no character development, just the matches. Everything revolves around the matches. The backstage interviews are about the matches that night. The inring segments do what? Make matches or talk about the matches. Literally the entire show revolves around matches. Here's the thing. The people that will sit and watch hours upon hours of wrestling matches are called wrestling fans, there seems to be quite a few of them in here already but wrestling fans are a tiny little group of people, a minority if you will, they're not a majority by any means. The casual wrestling fan doesn't watch wrestling every week, the casual wrestling fan does not watch indie wrestling, the casual wrestling fan only watches wrestling when they know something interesting has happened or is about to happen. The TV audience is the same. For decades millions and millions of people all around the world have enjoyed what is called professional wrestling. They enjoyed it for what it was and followed it knowing exactly what they were getting themselves into. That number continues to fall as the casual TV viewer AND the casual wrestling fan slowly walks away from WWE and TNA and ROH and any other show on TV because all those companies are no longer giving professional wrestling. Not the professional wrestling from the last 40 years. What they have done is thrown out the characters, thrown out the storylines, thrown out the angles and soap opera and stuck to just basic mat wrestling. Instead they focus on these indie wrestlers and this smark indie crowd that seems to be showing up to their TV events and they ruin everything just like they ruin NXT. And this is spot on after seeing this crowd at Extreme Rules. This wrestling crowd that wants nothing but wrestling matches. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CjuxECXXAAAEUjb.jpg:large |
