Spoiler

Have to say again how good CWC was last night. Questionable decision to know Daivari out so early as he looked really impressive (and I feel I have to continue saying that now considering I got a RT from him lol).

I do feel it could do with something more. Although the introduction videos give an idea of who they are, I think it would have been handy to do a couple of post match interviews with Graves.

Oh and Mauro/Bryan is easily the best commentary team in WWE. Brilliant pairing. Ibushi my favourite of the night closely followed by Daivari and Maluta.
Agree with you on Daivari I was also impressed with him was shocked to see him eliminated so early and also agree with you on Mauro and Bryan that commentary pairing clicked so well was nice and refreshing to hear some insight on the cruiserweights from Bryan. I think it's fair to say that Kota Ibushi was impressive I was also impressed with Gran Metalik and Alejandro Saez that springboard from the second rope from Gran Metalik was something else.

Would it be fair to consider that NXT is a bigger promotion than the dead duck TNA.

Are you kidding me? One of the best parts of this weeks Smackdown and they cut it off the TV broadcast?

Miz stands up and calls Backlund an old man. Backlund puts Miz in the Crossface Chickenwing.
Man that sucks WWE didnt leave it in.

TBH I'm glad that WWE edited that out the match they are building up to is Miz vs Darren Young not Miz vs Bob Backlund.

Didnt stop them from showing Shane beat Miz up after his loss when they toured the UK.

I think so, TNA won't recover

So I wonder if Brock v Randy will still go ahead, plus does count as him failing the WWE's wellness policy???

Presumably they'll have to consider it a failed test. Depends what he failed for & what his excuse is though.

Surely it would look a bit strange, if UFC ban him for two years, and the WWE just punish him either a 30 day ban??

It wouldn't look strange because they would just following their respective policies.

Having him fight on WWE TV, whilst under suspension from the UFC would I think look strange, how could they honestly promote him and give him a push, as surely that would seem as if they are rewarding him for doing what he did.

It's only the pre fight test, no announcement regarding the post fight test

It's about to completely overshadow their draft, who knows what they're going to do.

Lance Storm just said on twitter they have to suspend him per their guidelines, but suspending him for 30 days when his next match is in 37 days would likely make them look absurd.

Bit of a headache for them!

Don't matter when the test was, it's an automatic 2 year ban from MMA, (unless he can prove beyond all doubt the packaging of whatever he took was inaccurate, or he ate beef with steroids in it, but even then he'd still get a 6 month ban) and per WWE's wellness guidelines this counts as a WWE wellness fail as well.

I wonder if he will still be in the draft after all of these negative headlines??

Surely not?

Haven't they just done the same for Roman? 30 day suspension when he's in Ring on day 32ish?

This is a far more mainstream news story than Roman. And unlike Roman, it's gonna come out what he failed for.

I suppose it's possible he failed for cannabis (banned as a painkiller in MMA) or something else WWE could spin as less of a big deal, but we'll have to wait & see.

Because what he does in WWE is separate from what he does in UFC and there is no compulsion from anybody for WWE to suspend anybody for 2 years. If has has indeed failed a test, WWE should punish him by going through their own, not UFC's, policy which is 30 days if its his first strike.

One is fighting for competition, the other is for entertainment. The reasons for banning in the two companies are completely different.

This is meaningless with regards to what happens with Brock, but folk will also point out earlier this year Billy Gunn was fired on the spot by WWE for failing a drug test elsewhere (powerlifting). Whoops!

Another crazy thing is the New York state athletic commission still covers pro wrestling- http://www.dos.ny.gov/athletic/about.html and it's possible they decide an MMA ban also applies to wrestling & pull him from Summerslam.

I guess if they have to WWE will just suspend him for 30 days the fact they were not going to use him in those 30 days is irrelevant to the rules.

Edge once got a 30 days suspention but they used it while he was out injured anyway.
