Haven't seen Raw or the highlights yet, but the reading the comments from last night aren't getting my hopes up. So hilariously negative!

And Matt's "acting" was so OTT even Nick Cage would think he went overboard
Isn't that the point though Matt Hardy the wrestling character is acting a part, So he is being intentionally over the top and acting hammy

You have Matt Hardy a man who is a wrestler who plays Matt Hardy the wrestling character who is playing a over the top evil character on purpose

You would hope with the Brand Split that with each show having a share of the roster, and with Smackdown going live that the focus on the writing from WWE would show signs of improvement.

Creatively though WWE is as bad as its ever been. If it contnues to be so bad the brand split won't matter if they don't put the effort in to creating logical storylines and different matches.

I can't call who'll win the MITB ladder match. I'd really like it to be Cesaro, but I think it'll be Owens.

Swear down though, if they dare put it on Del Rio...

Being that his New DVD come out today it would have made more sense to have Eric Bishoff on Raw instead of Teddy Long

I've got a funny feeling that he maybe on soon as they build up to live Smackdown.

I'd probably go for Ambrose. Though at this stage I doubt Vince has decided who will get it.

I'm not sure whether it was incredibly bad or just uneventful and dull. Hard to know from reading the live posts here because one of the posters seems permanently outraged about every little detail.

Would be great if Cesaro won it, but expect either Owens or Ambrose. More likely Owens as WWE likes to put it on heels but wouldn't mind Owens winning. He's good enough to be contending for the WWE title regularly.

I did like that both Teddy and Stephanie declared their interest in running Smackdown. Nice to see it being thought about.

Just booked a front row ticket for Hope Wrestling event in Derby on Friday with Will Ospreay headlining. In 30+years of watching wrestling I've never done an Indie, just WCW and WWE. Quite excited!

So once again Raw was awful well maybe awful doesn't do it justice some of the promos had some real WTF moments although anything involving Teddy Long I found hilariously bad but seriously that opening segment WTF where they doing on that Ladder and how did they get up there? Also did I witness Tyler Breeze shaving Fandangos back? *shudders*. Yes welcome to the new era folks with new matches like Jack Swagger vs Rusev and Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens as if we have never seen them before now where's that rolling eyes smiley?

And the third hour did 2.903 million viewers. That's well below 3 million infact almost 2.8 million.

I guess football season starting soon will soon put the other 2 hours below 3 million aswell and we'll see if anything changes then or if they stick with this boring wrestling match formula they have with all the indie workers.

Not just awful promos but all promos.

Trading Standards should be onto them for calling themselves a wrestling company with so little wrestling on the show.

Out of a 3 hour show 2 hours 15 mins excluding ads we got about 30 mins worth of wrestling.

WPE
World Promo Entertainment well WP as Entertainment is also a lie.

Isn't it sad that we already know in our hearts that the brand split won't even get us new, different sets?

I sometimes wonder if James is being serious.

They wont give us new sets. The set they have is apparantly a lot easier to tour and build than the old ones were. The older ones just wouldn't hold up in HD, they would look cheap which they did in person anyway. The stage and ramp they used to use was on wheels. I don't know why they didn't keep the 6 foot high stage and the ramp that used to go right the way down and touch the ring mat. It made everybody walking to the ring look much larger instead of now where the video boards tower over everyone.

And i was listening to Vince Russo earlier, I haven't seen Raw yet but he's talking about wrestlers talking to each other in the ring and having conversations like John Cena and AJ Styles and in previous weeks Roman Reigns within spitting distance of Seth Rollins. Why would they have a conversation and not hit each other? How is that believable at all, you're supposed to try and believe these people don't like each other, especially Reigns hating Seth yet he doesn't even try to hit him?

Stephanie McMahon is on TV?

Goldust is on TV but not Damien Sandow?

The people in big multi man matches like MITB tend to be those who have LOST their previous matches?

There's no heat?

There's not stories or reasons for matches to exist?

Who is watching this? And James might be right. There's people like James out there that don't want any of those things, they just want nice and simple things in life, the wrestling has to be nice and simple and that's all they want and that's fine and everything but to see where this business once was and where it is now. It's just sad.

WWE has bigger issues than that.

We got Teddy Long.

Cesaro vs Jericho which wasn't a bad match
Seeing Teddy back reminds me how much I missed his run as GM of Smackdown a decade ago before they crapped on it with Vickie.

I'm not an avid Boxing fan but wow at those tweets paying tribute to Muhammad Ali.
Because its Stephanie Mcmahon she'll get away tweeting a pic of Ali & Hogan. Anyone else would get in trouble.
