There's so much heat in having him be a good-and-he-knows-it heel who has great matches, wins and acts like a dick about it.
It's absurd that in a scripted environment they brush the booing aside and don't do anything with it. They've called him a polarizing figure and he attacked Triple H and started the "I'm not a good day...", but that's it. Maybe that's enough and I'm living a bit in the past.

For the most part I genuinely believe it's Cena reaction. It's booing because it's almost written into the show now. A new What, Wooo, Yes Yes Yes, CM Punk.
I think that's spot on with what's happened.

I think I may be getting bored/had enough of wrestling

Not watched a Raw in ages, instead come on here to see what happened or what clips online, so I sat down this evening to watch Battlefield and despite knowing some matches (Owens/Sami) were great I just could not be arsed watching them but clicked just to see the endings of them.

Anyone else go through this? I do moan about the product and rightly so but still always made the effort to watch it but I would say since WM I have watched less wrestling in the few months since than I have in years before

All wrestling chants basically become this anyway. It's strange that of all the most famous ones in recent years only one has really been 'positive'/constructive for the show.

Right now is the least I've watched or cared since I came back to watching around 2011/12. Before that I watched nothing for like 5 years.

I don't like the new stage they have for Raw tonight. Too similar to the old one.

Why can't they use the 6 foot high stage they had from 1997 - 2008? It was so high and then that massive ramp that went all the way from the top right down to touching the ring mat at ringside. Obsessed with these curved LED screens and boards.

Because that was the past.

While nostalgia is popular at the moment as the brand is relaunching going back to something that was nearly a decade ago would be a very silly way to go

I don't think the concept of a higher stage is so inherently unfashionable and out of date that it can never be used again.

Red ropes are confirmed too. It's the same as the Summerslam 2013 setup.

I understand they spent a lot of money back in 2008 for all these LED boards and they all have their desks and computers behind that swirly screen on stage but sometimes less is more. I only wanted the high stage and the ramp. They could put anything they want on it or beside. Look at the Raw stage from 2002 - 2008. They could have easily done something like that and replaced those old screens with new HD ones and did some creative structures to hang at each side. The whole one side of the building doesn't need to be covered in video screens. One big titan tron is enough and then a few smaller screens to show the logos and add to the lighting,

It's a wrestling show. I understand the old sets looked horrible in HD, anyone that seen them knew that, standard definition TV really hid a lot of things, it hid a lot of blemishes, I get that but it's far too glossy for a wrestling showI'll watch later and see how it all comes across on TV.

Agree that the current thing is a design monstrosity. I get the HD switchover etc. but I just think it's ugly as shit.

WWE, Barclays Center and iHeartMedia have announced that the first WWE SummerSlam Concert will take place Thursday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. ET at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, with proceeds benefiting Connor's Cure, a fund to help further pediatric cancer research.

Apologies if previously posted. I suggested that WWE should do a concert the night SummerSlam and make it a regular thing. Similar to the HoF on the night before WM. A concert is a good way to get fans in the party mood for summer and SummerSlam. Ideally, they'd have bigger names on there. Baby steps.

If I had to use that set and I was in charge of what went on it, I would just use colours on it. Just reds and blacks. Even up until 2008 when they had the Raw set then, I'm not sure what those structures were meant to be at the sides but all they did was shine lights on them. Same back in 1997, it was just huge black curtains at either side of the stage with lights on them. They could have done something like that and just had lights shining onto black curtains and I know the Smackdown fist was a hassle to travel around but surely those older sets didn't take as much time to build as these new LED ones. Like they do with the Old School Raw sets now, they could have done something simpler but used materials that made it look good for modern TV.

Unless it's going to be the other way around and Raw will be the big flashy showbiz show and Smackdown will be the more gritty show. I just prefer something simple where whoever is walking out takes centre stage. Sometimes WWE use these camera angles and it's like the wrestlers are these tiny people with these massive screens surrounding them, it looks impressive but sometimes a real change can be good.

Who is calling them trolls?? I was not that is for certain.
"Did I surprise you? Did you see my Twitter? I GOT THOSE TROLLS!!" - Sasha Banks on her mystery partner Bayley at WWE Battleground.

Sasha must be a complete knob if she really said that.

Each brand gets a PPV each a month
This is why I felt they should not have done the brand split till after summerslam.

They must be out of their mind if they expect people to sit and watch 5 hours of wrestling a weeek and then another 5-6 of it the last two Sundays of every month.
Oh Come on. What about the 1990s then? You had 2 hrs of Saturday Nite, 1 hr of Pro, 1 hr of Main Event, 1 hr of Worldwide, I dont recall anyone complaining about that.

Even WWE was stocked 2 hrs of PTW, 1 hr of Challenge, 1 hr of Superstars, 1 hr of Spotlight, 1 hr of All American and a ton of others.

Rusev is without doubt one of the brightest talents they have at the minute, A long slow sustained push towards main event would do great for him,

He has a lot going for him, Remember he can sell too, His matches with Jack Swagger when he sold the ankle lock while doing accolade was something else. Apparently he also has an awesome sense of humour and a personality....WWE just hides all that from us

Future champion for sure
No hes not hes shit. The most boring overpushed wrestler of the modern era. I was glad when Cena beat him in 3 PPVs in a row,.

Doplh Ziggler exists.

Rusev is a better promo than most of the roster speaking in a second language.

I do moan about the product and rightly so but still always made the effort to watch it but I would say since WM I have watched less wrestling in the few months since than I have in years before
All I can say is you missed some great matches. I can see where you're coming from, I'm watching less than I was a year ago but as I've said before here, I think for me part of that is I see wrestling as a interactive experience and there is less interaction here (probably rightly so given the present state of creative) so I don't find it as enjoyable.

I'm still catching up and watching PPVs but I know that part of my lack of enjoyment is coming from a lot of people I really really enjoyed talking about wrestling's past and present, great debates and just having fun have disappeared.

And today I realised how out of practice I am because a year or two ago I could be up until 4am watching the shows and be up at 7 for work. I slept in until after midday today lol.

I don't love his promos but he's nowhere near as bad as dave_windows makes out. He's rather talented

I think his promos are just funny. Like, ridiculous. As wrestling should be.

As for Dolph, he needs to piss off for six months and then come back as a heel with a totally new look.
