With all this talk of Mel B unfollowing Mel C on twitter, I have noted that she also appears to have unfollowed Cheryl at some point. I am pretty sure that they followed each other for quite some time on twitter.

Have they had some type of fallout? They seemed to get on very well when they presented the show together back in 2014. Did something happen afterwards?

I note that Cheryl and Dannii still follow each other and if anything their relationship appeared to be a much cooler one than Cheryl and Mel B's.

This is an entertainment show, it's just tv. A lot of what you see is just for show. They may not hate each other, but they may not be friends either. It's like when people always go on about how Cheryl doesn't care about her acts as she doesn't mentor them after the show. Do people really expect her to be friends with these people? They spend a few months of the year together and she tries to help them win a tv show, that's it. It's a similar thing with this whole Simon and Sharon Osbourne friendship. They're only ever friends when he wants her back on the X Factor and offers her a big pay packet. It's all for the media and to drum up interest for a new series. I mean, I always remember in the 2008 final when Cheryl said to Alexandra Burke "You have become more than just a contestant to me, you are my friend", and she cried her eyes out as she said it to her.

I think the friendship between Alex and Cheryl was genuine back then - it was Cheryl's first year and winner so it will probably always be special - do they still keep in touch?

I do get the feeling that Cheryl is not very popular in the entertainment industry , or she just does not like many people

No, I don't think that Cheryl and Alex are still in touch. In fact, I am pretty sure that Alex has publicly commented about Cheryl dropping her after she won x factor.

Yes, I am fully aware that it is just an entertainment show and that a lot/most of what we see it is not real, or for the cameras. Hence I have used the words 'appeared' and 'seemed.'

The reason I asked whether there had been some type of fall out is due to the fact that they have both clearly unfollowed each other after having previously followed each other for quite some time.

I think there was some kind of fallout between them towards the end of the live shows when they were both on it. They seemed to get on well through most of the series but things definitely seemed to get really frosty towards the end.

Did they definitely even follow each other?

Yes, I am nearly one hundred percent sure that I saw them following each other when they were in the show.

You say that but I still remember cheryl gushing in the final about the favorite part of her comeback year was how much she enjoyed working with mel, certainly she spoke up about her more than dannii or rita that's for sure

She's always been terrible in regards to the contestants

How does it work anyway they can't have both unfollowed each other at the same time who did it to who first

Yes, I remember that too. I also her saying on a separate occasion that her favourite part of that season was working with 'this one' and pointing at Mel B. Also, she definitely made a comment somewhere along the way about how two girls had never got on so well on the panel. She definitely never showed that warmth towards Rita or Danni. Although, obviously it could have been a case of protesting too much.

Mel B seems to fall out with a lot of people. Her family for years and this week she's started a feud with Sporty Spice and making nasty comments about Posh's singing

It may just be she hasnt spoke to her since x factor and therefore doesnt see the point in following her. Its the same as me a few months ago unfriending a few people on facebook who i was in their class at college 6 years ago and havent spoken to them since. No big deal

im more intrigued why Mel B has unfollowed Mel C though. i do think thats got something to do with a disagreement about Spice Girls reuniting

Yeah I'm not happy about that one it's a sign something isn't right in spice camp and I won't be happy if they come back as a 3

Either way mel b is an idiot for unfollowing mel c she knows full well it will soon be picked up on by the media and the stories that will arise from it, they have known each other 20 years all she had to do is mute her for god sake, she was clearly making a statement there

I have to say that I am nearly one hundred percent positive that Cheryl was following Mel B duing the X factor. I remember noting that she began following a lot of them at once and that the only judge she wasn't following was Louis Walsh!! Plus, there are a lot of far out links she follows on Twitter who are not just fans, or people she knows personally. For example she follows Fleur East who she didn't even mentor that year and all of the girls that she did mentor. As mentioned beforehand, she still follows Dannii Minogue as well as Grimmy, Rita Ora and Cowell. Also, various other popstars/celebrities. On that basis it is notable that she doesn't follow Mel.

Mel B follows people like Ronan Keating who she judged alongside in Australia, which was further back than the Cheryl connection. She also follows Nicole Scherzinger and many other celebs, so again it is notable.

I agree with what others have said about Mel b unfollowing Mel c. That was obviously a statement of some kind.

The main problem of coming back as a three is the "three" doesn't include the only decent live vocalist - they may be able to auto tune a track in the studio, but performing without Mel C is going to show them up.

come on guys we all have feuds with some people, what's the surprise if celebrities have theirs?
Mel C is opposing the project of spice girls reunion , a potential of sold out arenas and lots of cashing in for Mel B, it's normal she's not happy about that

Cheryl has always struck me as being pretty fickle when it comes to her celeb mates. She was best buddies with Javine Hylton during Popstars and then cut ties with her and even said she was glad she didn't get in Girls Aloud. There was also Alesha Dixon. Her only consistent friends seem to be Kim and Nichola from Girls Aloud.

As for the acts she "mentors" on X-Factor, she's under no obligation to keep in touch with them post show. But during the show she makes a big deal about how close she has got to them (Alex and Cher Lloyd being 2 examples). She even said Joe McElderry had become like her little brother, but they are are barely in touch according to him.

I really don't know how you can comment on Cheryl and her relationships and describe her as fickle with friends, we know nothing really of her personal life. The only reason her friendship with Nicola and Kim are so public knowledge is because they were in a band together. I never knew she was friends with Ant & Dec yet attended their birthday bash last year.

You need to remember Cheryl has a Paparazzi injunction, the only place the can photograph her is in public places, therefore she can quite easily live a private home life and come and go to friends without anyone knowing.

As for the contestants, I view it the same as a workplace, I have built up close relationships with people I work with and get on brilliantly, yet when I or they move on it fizzles out completely. It happens, its life.

Like someone said before, Cheryl is one of the few people who has a paparazzi injunction so only what she makes public, can really be seen. I think she keeps her friendships quiet simply due to the media and how they spin things.

And it's kinda like most things really though? Everyone has friends which come and go.
