Michelle Gomez wants Captain Jack to meet Missy

A Fan asked her at MegaCon whether she would like them to meet and she would love it. I actually think they would be great on screen together and it's about time we saw Captain Jack in Who again.

Thoughts?

I would love to see Captain Jack back on TV even with Missy. Imagine the putdowns

Been rewatching Torchwood and I do miss seeing his character.I doubt Moffat will bring him back for his last series. More likely during Chibbers tenure given how close he was to Torchwood.

I'd probably find it cringey, but I'm biased as I find Captain Jack's character in general to be cringey.

I'm still waiting to see Missy meet Jo Grant in a sort of Master-Jo reunion.

Or K-9.

Could be great if they get the right story. Personally would have liked Missy to bump into River.

Doctors wife and former best friend clashing. Missy would have been stunned to realise River is in fact part time lord.

Knew at the end of Witches Familar some way somehow she would return to torment our Doctor again.

Is rather Missy disappear altogether if honest. Terrible character.

Whilst Missy is a good character, I do feel that she has ruined the brilliant menace of The Master. The Master is now a woman, simply because Moffat wanted to test the water regarding a female Doctor. I'd rather Missy was a new character in her own right, and one who could rival both the Master and the Doctor. Missy's creation was all a bit pretentious and cried out "gosh, aren't I being a mischief!" from Moffat. He is now peddling an all black agenda. I'm so glad he's leaving because he could theoretically cause more damage to the show than good.

I'd quite like to write off certain parts of the last series such as the master now being a woman, Capaldi & Gomez are fantastic actors unfortunately Moffatts writing was a mess so I'm also glad he's leaving.

Would like to see jack back in a revamped torchwood but not in dr who. Belongs in the Tennant era. Missy aka the master will be back, it's obvious she will be back as her last appearance was open ended. Find her portrayal of the master way over the top and won't miss her character which I hope departs along with moffat. If you want an example of how the master should be played watch the great man roger delgado in the daemons which is being discussed in another thread.

They could even do that in universe if they wanted. We've no actual proof that Missy is a woman other than visual appearance and voice. Yet it's been established before that the Master can possess others and several times other characters have found ways to appear as someone else using "cloaking" or "projection" techniques etc. What if Missy was just a disguise "worn" by an even more insane post The End Of Time John Simms Master? If an incoming new show runner ever wanted a way of reversing it, can't think of an easier way!

If you've ever watched WCW wrestling then you'll understand when I say Moffat is the Vince Russo of Sci fi and Missi was the fingerpoint of doom.

I love the character of Missy but in my head I can't associate her as being the master.

Shame Moff couldn't have just had her as a new character. A new super villain for The Doctor to contend with.

And I'd have loved for her to have met River!

I could have coped with Michelle gomez if she was the rani. Just doesn't make sense to make her the master.

Well, they have already met of course, when she was in her John Simm incarnation.

As for Jack meeting Missy now though, yes it would be great. Always wanted Jack and River to meet, but now it seems that Rivers story is done and that we sadly won't be seeing her again, so this meeting would be a good second best.

Most of all though, I just want Missy to be the master as a threat, because so far she's had great potential but has been used for nothing more than an eccentric slightly naughty person the doctor knows rather than the villain the character was in previous incarnations.

I'd love to see Jo meet The Master again. But not as Missy. Can't take to her.

Moffat did it out of spite, to show his contempt for the fans and them not accepting the idea of a non male and non white Doctor.

Bet he's really annoyed with all the fans who love/like the glorious Gomez as Missy. "Och, I didnae see that coming. Backfired, the noo. Curses and hoots mon!" he probably said, whilst shaking his fist in a manic fashion and kicking a small child.

I don't know if that was supposed to be serious or not, but lord knows I needed that laugh.

Have to agree, get rid of her and bring back Jack.

I think whats important is the fact that she still feels like the same character, which to me she does, and I feel she plays it very similar to John Simm (who I also liked).

I have to admit that if someone had suggested the idea of a female master to me in theory beforehand, i'd have probably been dubious about it. However seeing Michelle Gomez take on the role, I feel she has been great throughout, and this incarnation of the master is one of the better Moffat contributions to the show.

As a fan of both characters, I would like this too.

She's had some good lines and has great timing but I really don't like Missy as a character. She still comes over to me as a female John Simm Master.
If Jack comes back at all he and the Doctor would be fantastic but I wouldn't want her as well.
