I'm starting to think that Dr. Bailey has been setting up Belle for months now, always intending to frame her for his wife's murder. By all indications she's an heiress of some sort-I doubt that fabulous house was bought on his salary-and he's been after her fortune since he married her. He can use Belle's mental health history/Gemma's murder and the stalker angle to make his dream come true

A doctor's salary is pretty good and they might have a mortgage.

He did say they were 'mortgaged up to the hilt' when he took Belle to his house when she commented on how nice it was.

It's obvious what he had in mind when he was talking to Belle on the couch. He sat there saying: "There is one way. No, it doesn't matter. No." Belle, the naive little lass she is, she totally fell for his lies. He knows that if she changes her story yet again once she reaches 18 after finding out that he lied to her, people won't take her seriously. He's a nasty piece of work. She's believing the laughable line of: "I'll leave my wife but I just need more time:. Belle's family might, might believe her when she tells them what he asked of her when she reaches 18 and finds out that he has actually lied to her just to save his career and marriage, but others, especially his wife, will just likely laugh it off. Belle would be far better off staying away from him and ignoring him.

I think it's safe to say Cain won't take it well.

Except GP's earn on average £102,000 a year. I reckon that could buy you a pretty fabulous house.

I've just thought..when Dr Bailey first started seeing her, wouldn't he have seen her age on her doctors notes? He looked at her medical history so he would have seen her age

Dr. Bailey and Emma would make a great couple, in fact they even dated a while ago

Also a lot of people are saying how they think Pierce will be the next Cameron type character but it could well be Dr. Bailey as he clearly isn't the full ticket.

No emerdale script monkeys need the help. they keep on coming up with these bs ideas and the gullible believe it, of course this is all part of the script monkeys plans,
As some one who isn't a fan , but who watches on and off i can see this nonsense and then later the gullible confirm why these poor script writers still have a job

My message to them all is this lets have some real scenarios forget all the pc nonsense be real tell it how it is for once

As for when it started :

Not quite sure where you got those figures from since they are utterly untrue.

GPs earn about £55,965 to £84,543. (https://www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/abo...ne/pay-doctors )

Consultants earn about 102,465 a year (https://www.bma.org.uk/advice/employ...ts-pay-england)

And this is before tax.

What pc nonsense? What is there to believe in? They haven' t presented any theories for Bailey's behaviour as yet. The only thing to believe or not believe in is the relationship itself, which has nothing to do with gullibility.

Personally, I don't t think they do make for a believable couple, but I'M m interested to see how the story will play out now that it has taken this twist.
