Is anyone watching this? Its on Thursday at 9pm or watch first 3 eps on catch up if you can't wait. I've watched first one and it wasn't bad.

The trailer looked suspiciously like that terrible cop show from last summer - the undercover one which I abandoned after 2 episodes. I'll give it shot.

We watched it last night - only intended to watch the 1st ep but ended up watching all three.

We all really enjoyed it - I think the comic elements won't be to everyone's tastes but we all laughed out loud several times. The two young male leads ( a kind of metrosexual Bodie and Doyle) and the Mark Addy character were all well played - although I can see how some of the things that are enjoyable at first might start to grate after a while.

Haven't seen it yet, only on iplayer at the moment isn't it ?
I'm rather put off by the fact that some reviewers say it's for "young adults", I don't tend to like things that are aimed at a particular demographic.

It does have a "young adult" BBC3 feel about. I'm quite surprised it is on BBC1.

I watched all three episodes on iplayer, and I agree that it has an enjoyably funny humour about it but one which could easily grate after a while (i.e. you might find yourself muttering under your breath that you wish these two guys will lay off of the buddy-cop funnyfunny bit and get on with focusing on solving the crime a bit more. It comes off a bit immature at times).

On the whole I liked it more than I disliked it. It was good to see a different kind of male protangonist taking center stage for instance: Asian and Polish. I do like their budding relationship.

PS: Who is that Scottish actor? All he ever seems to play in some government stooge involved in some cover-up, the last role in the weird strange Undercover drama.

I have watched the first two and looking forward to watching the third tonight. Its all a bit preposterous but it doesn't take itself too seriously and as a consequence is very enjoyable. I thought it have a bit of a seventies vibe to it in the sense that it has jettisoned all the portentousness which tended to come with cop-dramas after Morse and Prime Suspect.

It's a bit daft but I found it good fun and addictive. Ended up watching all 3 episodes back to back on the iplayer.

watched all 3 episodes on iplayer... i like it!! only thing that puzzled me is why the director allowed the rash actor to make those unnecessary faces-- can be quite distracting and looks very amateurish

The mugging face-pulling by both actors is a bit loose, I think, which detracts from a very good piece of telly (not sure either of the leads are really good actors, but their characters are likeable). I was surprised by how silly and cartoonish it got in places--but this is no bad thing: it reminded me of The Wrong Mans, which I liked.

Anthony Horowitz is one of my favourite crime writers, and he always delivers clever, complicated plots. Plenty of mileage in this show and I shall enjoy watching the later cases.

That is actually Mark Bonnar.

I liked it, watched all 3 eps in 2 days. It's a bit daft but once you get past the silliness is very enjoyable. I also liked to see some new faces as the leads.

It is indeed Mark Bonnar as VicsMum says. He has played a similar role recently in Undercover, If you want to see him play someone very different check out Catastrophe.

Mark Bonnar also played a very different character in Shetland, where he was the ne'er-do-well real father of Perez's step-daughter, and in Line of Duty, where he was a corrupt senior police officer. He gets about!

Does anyone know what the music is in the trailer for this show please? I know I've heard it before...

Thank you both. I love his accent

I agree it is nice to see new faces as the leads. I don't know when episode 4 will be shown. (There was a trailer showing clips of the next episode.) Or is that the end of the series? Horowitz is a wonderfully creative writer. I do like his TV work.

The face-pulling was a bit cheesey but I must admit I found it quite funny. They need to be careful not to overdo it though - it's one of the things I was alluding to earlier in the thread when I said some aspects of the show could start to grate.

It's refreshing to have cop show where the leads are young, fun and enthusiastic - a welcome relief from the current vogue of cynical old grumps with dreary private lives that revolve around a bitter cocktail of marital, psychological and alcohol problems etc etc.

Just watched the first episode, thought it was quite good, will watch the next one, next week!

Mark Bonnar lurks in dark corners BOOO!

It was better than I feared, a bit "pop video" at times but the story is an interesting one, timely in fact with the news that Boots CEO has resigned after a Guardian investigation regarding that companies relationship to the NHS and drug use.

Did anyone notice the weird lighting on the Stefan's face when he woke up on the sofa?

Watched the first one on broadcast now onto episode 2 on iplayer. strikes me that Anthony Horowitz who wrote this, borrowed straight from his days writing Poirot by killing a character by pushing her down an escalator, a method that was also used in one of itv's Marples

Wasn't bad, shame Kathryn Drysdale (Louise from "Two Pints") had such a small part.

She was excellent in that, still as "hot."

For those unaware.
