I am loving it.

I don't think it is supposed to be reality TV or a Line of Duty type drama.

Maybe you may have missed the spirit of the show given that you haven't watched it all.

I like the relationship between the two guys, the way it is written. You know it's escapism from many of the shows we see. It's great to be able to watch episodes back to back on iplayer.
Obviously with the amount of sport that is currently on,the viewing figures would be lower than hoped for,but I hope it does not deter the BBC from commissioning another series.
I am definitely a fan of this show.”

Whilst I can't compete with your 76 years, I'm a mere 53, I agree with you.

It is a bit of light-hearted fun which is perfect for a summer evening

I don't think I've missed the spirit of the show nor do I expect it to be ultra serious. Certainly not reality TV. But too much tongue-in-cheek and suspension of disbelief makes it hard for me to like. There has to be at least a core of realism to any drama. This is just lightweight froth with some heavyweight violence.

I love this show!! I really hope that it gets a second series.

I really liked how it ended too - potential for next series.

Why would someone drop an expensive lighter into a pool of petrol and walk away leaving it there to be usable to help trace them?

Me too, Sez! I loved the camaraderie between Stefan and Rash.

The ending was definitely (hopefully!) setting it up for a second series - fingers and everything crossed.

Apologies, I hadn't realised you had watched all of the series. You made it sound like you just tried a little and formed a conclusion.

Shame you didn't like it - I am with the majority here who seemed to enjoy it and will be looking forward to another series

That is a shame. It was nice of you to sit through it all feeling as you did.
Luckily we both enjoyed it. I can't see us watching 7 eps of a show together if one of us thought is was crap.

I'm guessing the rest of his activities made him judge that a burnt to crisp lighter was probably nothing to worry about!

LOVED this series.

I will be very interested to see if the BBC recommission this. As we all know, the ratings haven't been great but they were never going to be in terms of when it was broadcast. It was something a bit different and its production style trying to go after a younger audience who maybe normally don't watch drama on the beeb.

In a way kind of reminds me a bit of Cuffs which was similar in terms of production style and pitched at a younger audience, but also didn't get good ratings.

I think it deserves another chance in a better timeslot.

If there is a second series I hope they either get rid of the Mark Addy character or else stop him being such an inept pr*ck. He is driving me mad with his sarky one-liners and total ineptitude. How he got to be a DS is anyone's guess when he thinks he can get a conviction without any forensic evidence!

God my missus watches this contrived box ticking bbc rubbish.
Its a really crap cop buddy drama done in Hotel Babylon style.
Garbage of highest order.

Yeh, their friendship has made the show go to another level.

I think it will get another series...I've read lots of positive views online so fingers crossed!

I didn't like it and I don't know why but I wish hadn't wasted 7 hours of life.

How weird.

Did it really take 7 hours for you to notice that you were not enjoying it?

Unless you were forced to watch it non stop, why did you keep pushing the play next button?

Loved that!!

I also loved the "Stefan!" "Rash!" exchange at the end of episode 2 when they realised they were after the same guy.

I've read that in real life, Ben is more like Stefan and Mark is more like Rash!

A good fun series, but one that required a great deal of 'suspension of disbelief'.

Any series is only ever going to appeal to a percentage or the potential audience, so it's not surprising that there are plenty who dislike it.

I can think of many other unrealistic police(ish) series, some I've liked and some I couldn't be bothered with - there's no rhyme or reason to it.

I thought that about the towels too! They must have been superglued on!!!!

None as yet. Although I suppose that could be a good thing? With Cuffs, they announced it as soon as the last episode aired that there wasn't going to be another series (still annoyed about that! )

I recorded this at the time and only just got around to watching it. I enjoyed it, it was light hearted fun. It reminded me of Man from Uncle, which was quoted in it anyway, and also of Hustle. I hope it comes back. I'm 60 by the way.
