Something should be done about this violence, as really it does us no good whatsoever, as other countries will just look upon us with disdain, if they don't already.

If it carries on, expect England not participating in the next tournament

Has he played for Liverpool much? I don't remember ever seeing him.
We recalled him a few months ago when the team accepted that Adam Bogdan was terrible. He made a couple appearances, looked good in them for his age. Didn't play much though. He was supposedly playing well for Aberdeen, had a lot of positive things said about him by Aberdeen and their fans. They didn't want to see him go.

Apparently the Russian supporters were causing trouble too, as were the French.

Whoever is doing it, it is wrong, and those responsible should be punished.

Sky News reporting that the French police ignored the advice of their English counterparts in how to control the English supporters who were being violent.

did they suggest giving them a nice house in london whilst their documents are checked?

i like the french way, i wish they were even tougher.

I doubt the russian police will stand for any of this in the next tournament, people will be shot.

My award for 'Least Attractive Football Team' so far, goes to Slovakia.

Mohican hairdos and tattoos. Not a pretty sight.

Following last night's disturbances in Marseille, UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against the Russian FA for "crowd disturbances, racist behaviour and fireworks being let off in the stadium" - with the case to be decided on Tuesday before Russia's match with Slovakia.

The Russian Sports Minister has stated - rather dismissively, it must be said - that he expects the Russian FA to be fined.

No action has been taken against the English FA.

Russian minister knows that the country is out of control, apart from at election time!

Really they should be kicked out of the tournament for that, I think. It's a real shame England didn't beat them last night because that would have served those foul Russian supporters right.

England fans not at fault at all. This was organised Russian mobs along with French street gangs doing the violence.

It's clearly the Russians responsible for it all. I do think England fans are an easy target it will be easy headlines though now england involved in violence at another tournament.

Even if England fans were on the defensive, it doesn't help when you have the stereotypical bald, stocky tattooed yob walking up to police lines and provoking them. And we saw that clearly on TV.

Following on from their earlier statement, UEFA have just stated that England and Russia could be expelled from the tournament if their fans are involved in any more violence.

Was to be expected, I guess.

Many of these thugs have been clearly shown kicking and stamping on heads and kicking faces ... their faces are clear to see on the Tv news clips .

Just see what kind of sentences they receive and that's IF they get identified and brought to justice .

But surely throwing the teams out only punishes the fans that ain't causing any trouble?

Well that gives any other country now a free license to provoke us and we'll be heading home whilst the instigator will get a 1st warning.

They should be giving a blanket warning to ALL nations that any country replicating these scenes will be heading home.
