if this turns out to be correct then I am really surprised

OK it wasn't fit for purpose but there must be another reason why they have axed it

We lost live feed and the reason given "we have decided to focus on the nightly highlights show and on directly engaging with the show's viewers through social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and specially created iPhone, iPad and Android apps."

So much for that

Slow phase out of the regular series continues

Hopefully they will continue the updates on the main account, but they will be very slim pickings amongst the rubbish they churn out on the main account

It's all scripted and they will feed us what they want ..BB is dead in the water, they need to rename this BS .

Some will remember what happened to BB Australia when they canned their live updates, the show hasn't been seen since

It truly is BB in name only for this series

I'm not even surprised in the slightest. It's as if they have a scale up in the C5 offices and knew the viewers were at the 9/10 anger level, and thought, "you know what? Lets just annoy them even more and do this".

The annoyance has gone all the way up to 11 on the Tufnel Scale

Think that scale has just tipped over to be honest

They are hellbent on getting rid of the regular series and they may just succeed now

It's like an exclusive party for them, while the rest of us are just left outside in the cold with a few small sandwiches and not a clue what is going on

They know what they can do with their spoon fed video clips of what they think we want to see......

I took it to mean that the live tweets would just happen on the Bbuk Twitter. I always thought it was odd to have the two Twitter accounts.

No doubt Toothy will wind us up by saying that he has been able to see what is going on in the house at all times

I told the guys on Twitter. The last contact I had with Ben Frow he was awful We had been emailing each other on friendly terms. As soon as Questions like this and the late night coverage stopping it was a really rude snide reply.

CBB is going to be safe, Only time will tell I really do think you are going to see the last normal summer series with an extended CBB taking over next year. You think what Channel 5 promised to what they actually delivered.

I have very little interest in CBB, it was always BB for me. I've never made it though an entire run of CBB, often just watching the opening and the final.

I really dislike the way they've abandoned the live aspect over the years. It seems that BB is run by a group of control freaks who want to minimise the aspects of the show that are hard to manage. They'd probably get rid of the crowd if they could.

That's what I've taken it as too.

I feel sorry for the people going in. 99% of what they say and do will never be screened.

Me too, people need to at least wait to see whether or not that is in fact the case before going off the deep end!

Yep, This is why we are getting more and more HM's being labelled boring. The only way you can be seen as a good HM these days is by being a loud mouthed idiot.

I just don't get Channel 5, i really don't. Every series it's just mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake. I mean, what the hell is it going to take for them to realise that their ideas for how the show should be are not working? If they want a reality show that is full of manipulation and a bunch of TOWIE types, then why don't they just go out and make one? Let Big Brother be Big Brother, stop trying to turn it into something it's not.

I agree. You miss the slow development of some of the most interesting and stimulating relationships within the house which are now replaced by loud and foul mouthed pig ignorant nonentities. Rather like the BOTS mob.

A complete overreaction to the news that all live updates will instead come through BBUK, then.

Next.
