Who is going to be bothered to waste their time watching this?

It is sounding like the complete opposite of what I expect from BB. Tacky, twist laden, probably housemates chosen to be deliberately confrontational, the worst of whom will be given endless immunity, etc, etc. And still no live feed, or anything like it.

Bit like Top Gear, just put it to rest until someone with integrity and respect for discerning viewers takes it over. Fat chance.

CBB is going to be safe, Only time will tell I really do think you are going to see the last normal summer series with an extended CBB taking over next year. You think what Channel 5 promised to what they actually delivered.”

TBH I don't think Viacom ever wanted civilian BB. The last one I enjoyed was BB14

C5 bought the series for CBB they have never ever wanted the normal series IMO.

So does this mean that we're not going to get regular updates on what's happening in the house at all?

Just as they want it!

It's all cloaked, they can do what they want with it.

Everything bb was originally based off has gone, the main premise is no more.

It's been on the cards for several years they intend on getting rid of the civilian BB. Ho hum..........this will more than likely be the final one.

This keeps being said and yet the civilian series keeps getting made. Interesting that, almost like people on here don't know as much as they think they do?

Nah, can't be that.

This thread needs deleted, it's causing unnecessary confusion and upsetting people. The live updates will continue as usual on the BBUK twitter. feed.

Did you see how sparse the regular twitter account was last year, the live updates were sh*te but at least they were something!

This is the final nail...

The BBUK Twitter account has thrice as many followers as the BBUKLive Twitter account. That suggests the majority of the audience isn't bothered about receiving live updates.

I'm not that fussed because the BBUKLive twitter feed was hardly an essential guide to what is going on or of anything significant. Didn't the usually sign off about midnight anyway?

Although I completely agree with everything you say, if we were to go on what BB was truly originally based on then BBUK with its lack of live feed and having to trust what we are seeing is not false, BBUK is the TRUEST representation of Big Brother/1984.

2 + 2 = 5. And if we have no live feed to see how they worked it out, well, then we'll have to take their word for it that they did.

This. Stop watching people and let it die. It's too upsetting to see Big Brother die such a slow and painful death - was the launchpad of so many careers..

Go and watch reruns of previous legendary BB series for your "kicks". Brian Belo-style.

You will get exactly the same type of live updates on the BBUK Twitter account as you did on the BBuklive account. They are just going to have one Twitter account instead of two. Is that clear enough? Yes, I would love live feed but I honestly don't need two Twitter accounts to follow when one will offer the same content as two previously did.

i'm guessing they'll only be tweeting about key events such as tasks then

Maybe they have scrapped the live tweets after all. However vague they were, it was still nice to have a general feel of what was going on in the House.

In the glory days of BB, I didn't even watch the nightly highights show much. I gorged on live feed, posted a lot on forums and mainly tuned in for the eviction nights which seemed like big events at the time even in the BB4 series.

But the live feed was like drugs to me. Couldn't get enough. You could survive a whole series without highlights shows

There will probably be only vague mentions of tasks with them telling us to wait for a vid to go up on the C5 site

That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing!

People in the Big Brother house aren't supposed to have any contact from the outside world, at least that was the case when BB was on Channel Four!

But now the housemates are aware of what the publics opinions of them are, with various tasks revealing most popular, to least popular etc

They should announce the eviction results from inside the studio, doing it out side those in the house hear... "Get [insert whoever the least favourite woman is here] out.

I really wish they had gone with a "Back To Basics" theme this year, with Josie the tesco girl, or Tom who works in construction.

But if they did that people on here would moan that it was boring, so unfortunately they go with the TOWIE type of housemates.
