"Dozens" of phone calls to sort a bouquet! Couldn't they just pick some flowers and do it themselves?

I reckon she's not right in the head.

Or just go to the local florist? But they seem to just want to use UK contacts

That wont endear them to the locals.

He was surprised when the workmen downed tools and left at 6pm...the French work a 35 hour week and they don't negotiate on it either.

Place looks fine, but now she's got to keep it all clean and tidy - cobwebs and dust gather quicker than the blink of an eye in those old houses. That bathroom looks great in its unused state but imagine having to clean it up after the kids have been in it

I reckon they sent them back to family in the UK. That place looks a nightmare to try and keep two wee ones safe in - constant supervision for some years to come for them.

Dick's belly is more impressive than the Chateau.

Ah, the tradition of driving round the town tooting the car horn is customary after a wedding in France

I thought he said at the start they were having 200 guests...?

The children from his first marriage, were they there?

Imagine having to dust all those butterflies on the wall.

Loved the chateau but hated what she did to it and if I was paying for a wedding there I would expect French staff not English but that's just me.

I find hand gestures and grunting is only effective for cheese and Opinels.

For ridiculous sewage systems waving bundles of fake 500 euro notes is the way to go!

Every day's just dress-up day for her isn't it? No sense of her taking it seriously and pitching in effectively. Just ****ing around with wallpaper, stuffed giraffes, butterflies and pineapple chandeliers.
She was an accountant before she started her business.

I do think she needs to look at her prioritie but i suppose the idea is a uniquie wedding experience business so her own wedding has to be perfect. Re the kids, werent her parents looking after the little ones? I wondered if the lad putting the stakes in the crowd was dicks son?

Edit wiki doesnt mention any children from his first n
Marriage

I didn't see them and came on here to see if anyone had spotted them? I was expecting the son to turn at any time to help them out as if I recall correctly that on 'It's Not Easy being Green' he was fairly handy. I'm guessing that him and his sister weren't exactly happy with Dick new choices.

...stuffed giraffes, butterflies and pineapple chandeliers.
Did she say that she had to source that from the US? Which is bizarre because crap like that is to be found in any dépôt-vente or brocante and probably at much lower prices.

The local florist let her down (and I really laughed when she bemoaned the level of 'customer service' employed in France - it truly is crap) so she shopped at the only place she could get a level of responsiveness if not what she actually wanted. I really do sympathise with her on the difficulty of getting precisely what you want. Also, there's a cultural gap between what you'd look for in bridal flower arrangements in the UK vs France - typically, what you find in France is tackier and not to the British 'eye'.

It was made clear that Angel's parents were in residence so they probably looked after the kids or the children may have been at school or maternelle, at least part-time.

I think it's really dodgy to make observations like that on the basis of - in the general crowd - you didn't see faces that you may not have recognised anyway.

If he adds any more to its girth, he'll need planning permission. He must have to get Angel to describe his todger to him, so long is it since he's clapped eyes on it himself.

I was wondering why we didn't see his son James, especially as they get on so well.
Their series The Hungry Sailors for ITV was okay.

Any idea what sort of fee participants would get from the TV company, would make it all a bit easier if a substantial fee helped the numbers out quoted in the programme.

..........

They do both seem to be living in dreamland. Especially Angel.

I've just watched all three episodes together, I don't like waiting a week!

I really enjoyed it and think Dick and Angela/Angel make a great couple, they seem really happy with each other.

Agree with a few others about some of Angel's interior decor choices though, but it is her choice after all.

I would have liked it to be more than 3 episodes to be honest, the last one felt a bit rushed.

Genetics!
It's not really his fault though : he's doing better (lesser?) than the rest of the family... who popped up this episode to assail our eyeballs.
