I'm disappointed on how elimination goes, Natalie should've stayed and AYA should get a better song .. I'm done with this show

It won't happen but would like to see Adam Lambert replace Louis Walsh on the UK Version

Honestly? James Blunt was more entertaining as Adam Lambert.

Frozen is a genius song choice for Amalia! I feel like that's exactly the sort of less conventional song that makes her tone sound good, I always found it annoying on more standard ballads. I can't see at all how she'll be a star or anything though? Same goes for Isaiah, his performance was stunning, vocally perfect but if they've failed Cyrus he won't do anything. Neither of them have the "X Factor", Isaiah feels very The Voice and like I said I don't see where Amalia would fit in the market.

The rest were average at best really, aside from Chynna but wtf that was that song choice/arrangement? It wasn't even making her contemporary, it sounded like she was a one hit wonder who was track 19 on Clubland in 2005 lmao. Vlado just cannot sing and that was brutally exposed by having to sing a song by one of the best vocalists in pop music today, Brentwood/AYA/Beatz had awful song choices that ****ed them over and Davey was alright I suppose but ust not my thing. He's nothing new or exciitng, you always know exactly what he'll do.

The problem with Davey is his just not good enough.

You compare Davey to Louise last year and she's leagues ahead of him out of the two most recent Rockers on The X Factor Australia.

Samantha Jade, Cyrus, Dami Im, Taylor Henderson, Jai Watford, Jess and Matt will be guest mentoring the contestants this sunday.

Dami Im and Guy Sebastian will be performing on monday.

Also, Samantha Jade and Cyrus new single "Hurt Anymore" is now available on iTunes Australia: https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/hu...e/id1169432557

The song is also available on Spotify Australia.

Imo out of the options this is what the public should pick for the acts this week.

Amalia - You Got The Love
Davey - Better Man
Brentwood - Go Your Own Way
Isaiah - No Woman No Cry
Beatz - I Gotta Feeling
Chyna - Mercy
Vlado - Love Yourself (although Thriller is a song that I like more)

Although going forward I want Davey to do Arms Wide Open by Creed if his still around by then.

And I want Brentwood to do a Scissor Sisters song.

Former judge/mentor Kyle Sandilands has said that when he was on the show, the judge's 'mentoring' aspect was "bullsh*t" and is actually done by a team of people rather than himself. Adam Lambert responded “No, I like the mentoring,” but “I think some of the other judges, maybe it’s bullsh*t for them”.

Same with the U.K. Version where I think people such as Dannii Minouge are a lot more involved with her acts than say Sharon Osborne who openly admitted sometime after her first exit she didn't take the show seriously at all.
Same with I think Gary Barlow and Cheryl who I think took it quite seriously

Okay I need to do an individual analysis of these acts as I'm struggling to comprehend how some of these even got to the lives.

Chynna - Again massacred a song by a decent singer, Duffy's not my favourite artist by any means, but she definitely doesn't sing the song in a screechy, shrill manner.

Brentwood - It was okay, I mean it weren't as bad as Youtube made it out to be, but I do feel that The Chain would've suited them better out of the Fleetwood Mac songs.

Beatz - They did actually show some improvement this week, they're still an X Factor girlband in some areas, but still an improvement is an improvement.

Amalia - Again decent vocal, but she has about as much stage presence and intrigue as Sam Smith.

Davey - Interesting song choice, but he comes off as so karaoke that his blowing his opportunities to standout imo.

Isaiah - Of the talent shows that I'm watching right now, Isaiah probably has the least stage presence out of all of the acts, there's no personality or style in his performances it's actually quite insulting that he then keeps being voted through.

Vlado - The opporsite problem to Isaiah, better performer, but an absolutely appalling vocalist.

Absolute car crash tv last night! As if Australia voted the songs which best sabotage the acts lol

The performances are cringey to watch. Davey is probably the best out of a very bad bunch last night and only because the song suited him.

The show has sunk so much since Dami's year tbh (ratings-wise too; I think they've lost more than half their viewers)

They pay Iggy a lot of money but she is the first mentor who lost all their acts after three weeks.

This season is just a joke. I can't see it return next year. It's time for a break.

Chynna going is a joke, in a sing-off against Beatz :/ Mercy was the wrong song for her though, again proves the public can't choose anything, not even a bloody simple song for an artist.

Vlado through is a joke, he lacks even basic singing ability at times! He sums up everything wrong with music in 2016, coasting through on "looks". Agreed about Isaiah though, he has a brilliant voice but is just so empty and blank. He will flop worse than Cyrus if he wins!

All in all this is a very weak crop, AYA and Chynna were my favourite acts and both are gone. Amalia is probably about the best left but she's very limited and her tone can be very annoying with the wrong song, I feel like she's very hard to get right.

Who is the chosen one this series? I haven't focused much since Marlisa's year ended and the fact that this year is severely shortened turned me off. I only remember Vlado because he did Taylor Swift in the chair challenge.

I'd say Vlado or Isaiah, though both have been given criticism by two or more judges

Brentwood going is ashame as they had potential to probably get better.

To be honest this series needed Brentwood, Timmy, and Maddison to last longer as they was doing more alternative performances to the karaoke versions that we're getting within the same genres, or in other genres.

The host certainly held out the tension before announcing who was going home that was a long pause lol

He reminds me how good Dermot is in the UK. Heck, Luke is much much better than him

Zipped through the three lives.

The production value is TERRIBLE. It pales in comparison to Brian's work in the UK this year and the previous series. It screams "X Factor USA season 3 with less lighting."
Iggy doesn't care too much, eh? It doesn't help that the other judges are calling her unprofessional.

Looked through the odds, the ranking is
Isaiah (1.60 or 3/5)
Vlado (4.00 or 3/1)
Amalia (5.00 or 4/1)
Davey (11.00 or 10/1)
Beatz (26.00 or 25/1)
I'm assuming this is less "liquid" (provides less information) as the UK odds but it's interesting anyway.

Yeah the odds have been a mess, they were quite accurate last year but Melissa was the favourite to win when she went and AYA went from like 2nd to last because of one bad performance, so they are a whole lot more fluid than the UK ones!

Honestly, this series of XF AU just feels incredibly rushed compared to previous years. I thought last year was a definite step down from the glory days of series 4-6, but this series is even more of a mess.

Awful contestants, awful host, awful production and awful twists. The week 1 twist was utterly pointless, and the week 3 double elimination following it makes me wonder why they didn't just have each category be two acts instead of three rather than letting go of so many acts in the first few weeks. It doesn't help that some of the best acts (Natalie, Brentwood and now Chynna) were among those, while terrible vocalists like Vlado and karaoke singers like Davey are still in.

This is genuinely the first year in a long time where I consider the UK show superior to the Australian one, and that's saying something considering how dire the UK show has become.

This.

I loved the seasons with Samantha Jade and Dami Im. They were just perfect.
This one however has been extremely rushed and not enjoyable.
Iggy is so wooden and stiff and gives lesser constructive remarks than Britney.
I do like the idea of the underdog judge and the fact that its Mel B
But contestants wise no one stands out this year which is a real let down.
