Yeah it's a shame, it would have been nice for the high to last a couple more seasons, but 2012-2014 were golden. Last season was watchable at least, as we've all said this one is just a disaster. It was inevitable to happen I suppose, Australian Idol had the same fate and I think people are just burnt out from this sort of show after 15 or whatever years of them dominating prime time.

I can't see this for Australia. I think The Voice, X Factor and Got Talent could work together in one country.

It was another thing in Germany. We had Idol, The Voice Kids, The Voice, X Factor and Got Talent while some years. That definitely was too much. So X Factor lost because it was aired on a smaller channel. But I can see X Factor coming back on Sky1 in 2017 or 2018.

Isaiah is winning this, with Davey second. I had Amalia at third but she's a little sleepy for me today.

Isaiah nailed both performances - the duet with Jess Malbuoy is the best performance of the night for me.

Vlado's duet with James Arthur was awful, followed by an out of tune Closer. Worst of the night by far!

The other duets are cringe worthy. Charlie X dressed up like a stripper performing next to an innocent looking school girl. Bizarre.

And the the pairing of the king of chavs from the north with the bogan from the south. Ghastly!

Were there any announcements for next year yet? Would be a big surprise if XFactor is coming back.

There's no formal announcement, but Adam was a bit cryptic when he said "thanks Australia bla bla bla and I'm looking forward to coming back..."

Isaiah is the perfect winner for such a weak season. He sounds great but he's far behind Dami, Samantha, or even Reece. From what I understand, Jessica is like a female Guy Sebastian in terms of how much Australia loves her, so well played by the duet pickers.

I thought Vlado's duet was great? He has vocal chords of paper and he tends to end his sentences by mangling the last note, but his tone is great. The Ne-yo track is terrible, though. I think it's the oldest non-duet song of the night.

Amalia is lovely but boring. Her duet with CXCX reminds me of Only the Young's bottom 2-bound cover. Sleepy overall so I think she's most in danger of falling to 4th.

Davey is Andrew Wishart with a beard. Enough said.

There were similar comments in Germany before VOX axed X Factor after season 3.

To be honest I can't see it coming back next year. Not even the ratings were worst, this whole season was boring. I think it needs a break for one or two years and coming back with a new panel (and new host).

If it's ´coming back next year Mel B., Adam and Iggy wouldn't be on the Show (which would be a good decision).

I'm still sure it's not returning. If they decide that in January it's not enough time to create a better season.

But if I'm wrong they hopefully bring back James Blunt. For me also Guy needs a break as a judge.

It should be rested; better to have no season than another sloppy one.

Also, can someone tell me how the ratings just nosedived over the last few years? Is it fatigue or some design decision that the Aussie viewers hated?

If they still keep the show, I hope they bring Ronan and Dannii back!

Ronan is doing The Voice AU. I can't see him coming back. Hopefully not Mrs. Minogue. Her attitude on The X Factor AU was awful. Same with Scherzy on the UK Version. All about me....

Yeah I'd have a whole new panel refresh, Guy is fine but he's been a judge too long and is kinda boring now. I'd have Jess Mauboy, one of the Veronicas (or maybe both, that might be novel), bring back James Blunt and then an Aussie male, idk who, maybe an older credible male.

I thought that Vlado had his best night, Davey had his worst night, Amalia had a good individual performance but an unusual duet, and Isaiah is probably more fitting to win the UK X Factor than the AUS X Factor with how bland he is.
