Ace of Base All That She Wants Summer Remix

Has anyone else listened to it?

I really like it, it sounds surprisingly up to date.

(The picture in the photo is the wrong line up as it's Linn and Jenny's vocals on the remix and original version.)

These remixes annoy me because the band or act in question dont have anything to do with the remix other then allowing it. Ace of Base have been split up for a good number of yesrs and only the two blokes are avtive with any official promotion

So? We can still enjoy it for what it is? A good (in my opinion) remix of a classic 90s number one.

They also put an album out last year of unreleased and rare tracks. It was great and a nice treat for the fans.

I hate it. I love the original version but I am sick to death with 90s songs being remixed to destruction over and over again. I don't just hate this remix because of that, I think it sounds bloody awful and should have just been left alone.

Couldn't agree more with you Hollie, it is songs like that that have saved me a fortune from buying the latest Now Cd due to the amount of crap on them. This song is just another one to add to the long list of songs that I wouldn't even download illegally as it would be a waste of HDD space.

By all means enjoy but it is just lazy promotion because like I said it isn't actually Ace of Base. The album was put together by the men and wasn't promoted. I just find endless remixes a cheap way to get money from the fans. However I'm pleased you are enjoying the remix.

They're hardly endless though, unless you're talking about other artists? I know the album was put together by the men (it's the women's choice not to be involved (Linn will never return, Jenny maybe), but they would surely have got some royalties from it (not that it was a massive seller). It's a great album and not a remix album; 5 rare b-sides and 10 unreleased songs.

You say 'it's not actually Ace of Base,' and while I can clearly see it's not them who've remixed it, it's still the original lyrics and unique vocals. If they'd got someone else to record it, I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much although I do like the style.

This.

Or maybe The Sign and All That She Wants which sound exactly the same if you played them in sync were crap the first time around.
