Quite a few to choose from, but my first thought would be 'Love on the rocks'.

I love to hear him sing this song too as well as "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show".

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly

P.S. My most favorite covers of his songs is "Cracklin' Rosie", "Solitary Man". and "Love On The Rocks" and they are all done from my newest favorite singer, the late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal.

Stones, Play Me, Longfellow Serenade, I've been this way before, Lonely Looking Sky, Evermore (from 12 Songs, a great album).

Much of his music sounds better live than on record. 'Hot August Night' is superlative.

Oh this is a hard one, so many good songs to choose between. I'll go with Beautiful Noise or America.

Was lucky to see him in concert last year.

Of his own songs I'd go for 'I'm A Believer' although I think his cover of 'God Only Knows' is amazing.

I've seen him live a few times but in 1986 I was 4 rows from the front at the NEC, amazing!

Not a big fan of his, but Cracklin' Rosie always has me singing. Such a positive, feel good song.

Not really my type of music but he is a good songwriter. Favourites would be Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show, If You Know What I Mean and that recent one ( a few years ago) that |I forget the name of.
I remember listening to a radio concert he did on, I think, Radio 2 a few years ago that was perfectly okay except for a long, rambling weird speech he gave in the middle of it - very odd.

Has to be Solitary Man.

Another Solitary Man fan. Neil Diamond never really wrote anything quite as good as that again, although Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon is also excellent, and I'm A Believer gave The Monkeys their first no. 1 hit.

I'd say America, but more for personal reasons.

Played it to death before I went to the States last year.

For very personal reasons 'The Story Of My Life'.

One of those artists you appreciate more and more as you get older.
