Was re-watching last night's episode, where Jayne was talking about her friendship with Chelsea. She said that they had been very close friends but had fallen out badly just before Big Brother began. Ryan asked: 'In the last two weeks?' and she said 'yes'. If the contestants are hidden away from the world for two weeks before BB starts, how would that happen?

I also find it odd that not one Hm has questioned who is nominating them , no speculation about another house ...nothing .
It's all very contrived feeling isn't it? They all have these big grievances in their past and just happen to be talking about them, like when Sam mentioned Ryan, just randomly or how Jason keeps constantly mentioning how Charlie was (in so many words), stalking him. I mean, I've never heard a guy talk about his ex so much and in such a nasty, negative way, just randomly like that, oh and she just happens to be in the other house listening to him say it.
My two pennies worth is, whilst there is a semblance of 'reality' to the show, it is very heavily fabricated and set up in many ways. I'm guessing they know about the other house, I'm guessing some of the fall out stories are being hammed up (or even invented completely) and I think this is basically scripted, event wise, but what they say and do mostly is off the cuff or improvised, to maintain some semblance of the reality aspect.

Planned out, scripted and it's not right.
I really hate this. I know it's naive of me, but I WANT to believe this is a genuine show and not a TOWIE/MIC lookalike. All the interest drains away if it's scripted. The whole joy of BB was that you could watch real people interacting and see what happens psychologically. Seems the housemates are just clones and puppets this year. Why, why are they messing with it?

I personally think it's semi-scripted, i.e., the big events are scripted and known about by the housemates, but the dialogue between them is mostly natural and off the cuff.
Even in shows like TOWIE and Made in Chelsea, they don't have a solid script per se, they sort of improv it, based around major events that have to happen- like they get a script summing up the big events and sort of improv the dialogue around that.
I think BB is a bit like that now. Some of the conversations are natural (like when you watch the live feed), but they are aware of the other house and the twists and possibly even get a brief, to make sure they do something they can put in the highlights show, but for the rest of their time in the house (i.e, the bits we don't usually see) they are probably conversing naturally.

Not forgetting how they showed Chelsea to be a materialistic knobhead when they had actually asked what possession of his would he miss the most.

They werent hidden for two weeks - it was one week (there was a thread about it) !
Lots of slip up when they're entered the house on launch night too, already knowing each other. Sam mentioned seeing another housemate when doing BB digital? Then it cut away. Also - how has Jayne only just fallen out with Chelsea when they've not had their phones for however long?

That was published on 27th may, on the official BB website it lists their twitter accounts and I just did a random check on a couple of them and they were still tweeting on 30th may/1st june.
