It's no wonder the BOTS audience is the same every night. I imagine all those people have been given strict instructions not to question the reality of the show. The producers wouldn't be able to have such control of the audience members if they were new people every night. And it goes without saying that the panel members have to toe the line if they want to get paid.

I have a friend who is regularly in the audience, I'll ask him if you like.

It's definitely not the same show anymore. Zelebrity version and totally controlled.
Just like puppets.

And how come both Chelsea and Jayne & Sam and Ryan all FOUR and more applied for BB the same year and were accepted.
My thoughts. Exactly. It's all set up. The housemates know..... They must do. Back to basics. Stop the blatant set up

Everything you watch on TV is manipulated, I'm just surprised some people did not know this.

The chances of three people being randomly picked to enter BB and their ex's also being randomly picked are astronomically high

I can only conclude its fixed

BB is a game show with a money prize at the end of it. It is totally unfair and possibly illegal to contrive to give certain people an advantage by giving them a storyline with airtime to go with it.

What makes you think they didn't know about Jayne and Chelsea? That doesn't seem very likely... six people in a house next door who have been specifically chosen for their connections to the Housemates, and one of them just happens to have a connection to one of them that the producers aren't aware of? The odds of that must be incredibly slim...

I don't think they've hired actors. There'd be no point hiring them for money, they're all getting free publicity and a 1 in 18 opportunity of winning £100,000 so there's a lot in it for them. I think they all genuinely intended to be Housemates, but I think they've been told how to behave and what to talk about - probably not with a literal script, but I think subjects have been fed to them and they improvise around it. And before this year I would have agreed with you that the backlash if it got out would be too much to risk, but having actually seen it I can't reach any other logical conclusion.
Because they didn't mention the Jayne/Chelsea connection on Launch, and they didn't get Chelsea to talk about her in his VT thing they showed to the house or in that task. I know the odds are slim, but there's a chance.

I don't really understand why you think they've been told to act a certain way/stick to a loose script? I think this applies to Marc BB16 though, he was blatantly (along with the other newbies) told to go and stir shit up.

So what about the Helen thing a few years ago? They blatantly fixed it in her favour from the start, didn't even bother to hide the fact they were doing it.

The reason I think that is that I don't honestly believe that Sam and Jason would spend their whole time in there talking about Ryan and Charlie respectively. Especially in Sam's case, it was implied that the whole thing between him and Ryan was quite a long time ago. If you've just met a bunch of new people who you're going to be living with for a while, that's not how a conversation naturally flows. You're going to try to get to know them, tell them a bit about yourself, hear a bit about them and talk about the other people you're living with, not spend the whole time talking about someone you knew ages ago who you don't speak to anymore.

That said, I did enjoy tonight's episode a lot more than I have the rest of this week, but I'll PM you soon and expand on that.

The only reason I will be watching is on the off chance that the housemates will publicly 'out' the show and confess that they know everything that is going on. Now that would be interesting and maybe the only thing that could save it.

If any of the housemates are reading this on their mobiles, 'Do it'

They've hardly spent all their time though have they? They were clearly probed about it in the selection process, and the producers used the information to orchestrate the twist.

I enjoyed tonight's episode too, more so than last night. Please do PM me

If people really think it is a coincidence that half the others have such a close connection with the housemates in the main house they must be crazy. The dominatrix will be next to drop in a casual remark about one of them being a former client.😁

I think Tom just means that about Jayne and Chelsea, not the other two. I don't agree though, I think it has all been planned.

They're all from a casting agency. The whole Sam and Ryan rivalry is so fake it stinks.

I can't see how that could happen. They must be approached these days like they are to compete on Xfactor.
Has this not been mentioned on Bots?
They were definitely approaching people this year.

A friend of mine was approached. I don't want to say too much about it, as he won't appreciate it, but I can say that he doesn't have an agent and he's not a wannabe.

And now we discover that Marco and Laura knew one another before BB - at least well enough to have their photo taken together in a nightclub...

That's the thing, though. I don't think it has been scripted in the past. Just this time.
If that's the case why would it involve an argument about racism?. Channel 5 surely wouldn't script that knowing the strict regulations in place by Ofcom. Some of the exchanges so far appear genuinely heated. Perhaps some of the situations are contrived for dramatic effort but at its core its still the BB we've seen before. It's a pressure cooker situation in a house with randomers especially on tv. I live with a few people in my house & it can get annoying at times .

I think what would be a good idea is to have 2 houses for the whole of the series with none of the housemates in either house knowing about the other house. They would only find out when evicted. So on the last night - the people in the houses think they have a chance of winning but unknown to them there are 5 or so people in the other house thinking exactly the same thing!

I should have been clearer - when I say 'scripted' I don't mean that everything has been planned. Just that certain housemates have been given definite 'storylines' to adhere to - the Ryan/Sam storyline, the Marco/Laura one, the Jason/Charlie one (I suspect only Jason was 'in the know' in that pairing). And Andrew has been given the storyline of 'cool, strategic paranoia-inducer'. There will probably come a time when Marco's 'fiancee' will appear. Of course, because they're all incarcerated in a hothouse situation, tempers and arguments will flare - that's what BB count on. Some are natural, some are orchestrated.

Was re-watching last night's episode, where Jayne was talking about her friendship with Chelsea. She said that they had been very close friends but had fallen out badly just before Big Brother began. Ryan asked: 'In the last two weeks?' and she said 'yes'. If the contestants are hidden away from the world for two weeks before BB starts, how would that happen?
Just to play devil's advocate to try clear some things up, which may provide a glimmer of hope.

I seem to remember Rylan on This Morning (a few days before the launch) saying that they're still putting some of the contestants in hiding, and that they wouldn't reveal the twist until everybody's sequestered, so Jayne could be telling the truth.

In relation to Sam and Ryan, I don't know, but it seems quite possible that they (especially Ryan) would potentially spout off at one another on social media and that's how the producer's know? Just a thought.

I don't think it's "scripted" as such, but events are definitely engineered to provoke reactions, so the events are manufactured but the actions and the dialogue is natural - I hope. In terms of the connections twist, it would be good if we were told how they went about discovering these relationships, but because we haven't, we're left with speculation that the housemates are in on the act.
