Series 13 of The X Factor officially kicked off today in Leicester with Louis, Sharon, Nicole and Simon.

Everything is looking really good, with the new room set being revealed by Mark Sideway. I like the very 'old school', traditional approach they've taken in terms of the colour scheme and throwback logo. I'm not a fan of the digitised panel, though. Much prefer having a three-dimensional logo, as opposed to a moving-image front.

Will update this thread with any new information/images coming in. We should expect the first press shot very soon. It'll also be interesting to see what's going on with The Xtra Factor. I have heard that they are not going forward with production until later in the audition process - presenters have yet to be picked.

Decently swanky looking room, but having screens instead of paper would be nice.
At least it's better than last year's grubby orange.

I also like the new set and it brings back memories of previous series.

I agree, the logo reminds me of the earlier series too.

I really liked the room in season 10. That year when there was a window screen behind the judges and free standing big X on the other side. This was more like american idol.

Yeah I loved that set.

if this doesn't get the ratings up nothing will, no chance of it going down this series
