I love Ian and Jane and I am relieved they are not over anymore.. They are soulmates <3
Jane is the matriarch of the Beales and Ian needs her and he truly loves her <3

I am so happy they are not punished for covering up Lucy's murder. Jane and Ian need a fresh start after two awful years. Love having Steven back too. Long live the Beales!!!

I love the Beales too. But they need to face some sort of punishment, something a bit more substantial than the suspended sentences Walford crown court gives out like sweets.

The reconciliation should have happened much further down the line.

I have no problem with the reconciliation. They are both vile people and deserve each other. However, I cannot rejoice at their ongoing freedom. They should be punished for what they have done, even if it is a short prison stint it would go some way to rectifying the miscarriage of justice they allowed to happen. And actually, I would like to see them acknowledge and repent for what they did to Max and stop defending bobby all the time.

Agreed, especially the BiB. Jane should have left for the better part of this year [at least] and then returned [after Max does].

Steven of all people being the catalyst for the reconciliation feels wrong too...

They beat Phil and Sharon's record.

I don't mind them being back together....at least Ian can stop sulking.

What Ian and Jane need is a long stint in prison, and to have a terrible time in there. They allowed an innocent man to go down for murder, Jane dragged and dumped Lucy's body in the woods yet they are free and all 'loved up'.

I'm glad Queen Jane is staying put and won't have to leave the show. I don't like Ian but I do like the Beales as a whole so I'm glad they've all managed to escape the clutches of justice and can stick around. Hopefully Lord Bobby will get a light sentence and be out in no time.

Not a popular opinion on here, but I agree. I still love Jane and Ian as characters and I am delighted they're back together

I've seen less fuss made about real life miscarriages of justice than I have about Maxipad, "an innocent man" (TM) getting stitched up

Soul mates? don't make me laugh!

Jane married Ian again so she could be privy to what the police knew so she could carry on being one step ahead and able to cover up her crimes.

Ian might be desperate for a woman and mother to his children but he can do so much better

What makes you think the outrage is fake?

Fake outrage? I don't think it's fake! And there was me thinking that we were all allowed to have our own minds and express our thoughts on here.
Funny how you are criticising those that are invested in the story and want them to go to jail when you are obviously just as invested because - in your own words - you love them and want them to stay!

I like Ian and Jane but it's hard to 'root' for them as a couple because they broke the law and allowed an innocent man to rot in prison. Ideally Jane should go to prison for one or two years and she can come back after her prison sentence. Laurie Brett is a talented actress and I'm sure she will find other acting work. I also think Ian, Phil and Sharon should spend six months in prison, in my opinion. They don't have to be written out for six months but we could see them suffer in prison (I love all of the characters but they need to pay). However, I think Max is plotting revenge and will come back to deal with them

EastEnders has plenty of couples at the moment but does any existing couple have the same magical chemistry that Ian and Jane have? They just click so unbelievably well and compare that to the forced chemistry between Mick and Linda have.

I reckon the late Lou and Pauline would have been seriously proud of Jane after the way she took charge of the Beale family if they were around today. The mantle has been passed.

I think Mick and Linda have great chemistry; I also think that Stacey and Martin are a wonderful couple and are very much in tune with one another.
