Group A: Albania vs Switzerland - KO 2pm, BBC1/HD
The game will also be on BBC Radio 5 Live and on the BBC Sport website and App.
Albania are in their first ever major tournament, the Swiss have never reached the knockout stage of a European Championship. 6 meetings between the nations in the past, Switzerland have 5 wins with the other match ending a draw. |

Brother v Brother as well, I always enjoy seeing matches that feature this strange sort of quirk!
Should be a good match I think. |

That might not be the only grudge match out on the pitch, though, as a number of the Swiss players grew up in Albania and a number of the Albanian players were born in Switzerland and played for them at youth level - so it could be quite a feisty and full-blooded match if those players go out feeling that they have points to prove. Saying that, though, I expect a fairly comfortable Swiss victory. |

albania have done really well to get here but i reckon they will some undone in this group and will be one of the 8 sides heading home after the group stage... good luck to them though, i hope they have a right go...

Djourou aside, Switzerland have a really good team. Embolo on the bench too- they could cause a few upsets.

Had a couple of bets on this one to get my interest up on this game. Switzerland 2-0 with Severovic to score first and just for the crack Sadiku first scorer for Albania despite knowing absolutely nothing about him other than a BBC preview

Fascinating insight from Thierry suggesting he went to tournaments with France where they knew before a ball had been kicked they weren't going to win it.

Went for the draw on a prediction thing for this one but realistically have to make Switzerland favourites. I just wanted to look like a bit of a guru if I got it right.
![]() Albania might not even have been here if it wasn't for the trouble when they played Serbia and got awarded the match 3-0. It was 0-0 at the the time and if that had have held, or if Serbia had gone on to win it would have been Denmark who finished second with Albania going into the playoffs. Might have changed the seeding, but if not it would've been them facing Sweden. |

Great to see Albania on the big stage : you could tell how excited their fans were during the anthems.

Another goalkeeping error!
Dear me, the Albanian keeper really flapped at that. |

Kevin Keegan @GalacticKeegan 1m
Brothers on opposing national teams isn't new. I had that during Euro 2000 - Gary Neville was with England while Phil played for Romania.
