Skrtel is not exactly an angel is he, come on even you must admit that?
His defending style is to pull shirts, and to generally get away with as much fouling as possible without the referee seeing him doing so, that is not how to defend as I know the word to mean.”
I never said he's an angel, in fact if you read my posts I have said he can be a bit dirty. Read Sloth's post. He puts it better than I can.

What I object to is what you said, the way you said it.
That isn't his defending style, it can be a part of his game, if he feels he can get an advantage from it if he has to. But there's more to him than that. He's a physical defender who puts everything he can into defending. He puts his body on the line, and will just do whatever he needs to do to keep his opponent from scoring.
He knows how to defend because he's been doing it for years, even if he's had a poor season and isn't as good as he once was. He can be prone to errors or fouls because of his tackling, but that's it. The way you describe him is just wrong. I've asked you a few times now what you've based your opinion on, how much you've actually seen him. If you watch him as much as a Liverpool fan would you'd see there's a lot more to him than pulling shirts.
The point is, he's not a thug, and he DOES know how to defend.
