Poor marking at the corner.

Too easy to cross and get the header in..

The result yes, the performance was decent.

Subs? There was only 2 subs for England. The manager needed to put fresh legs on. The offensive players were tired, and attack for a second goal, with Rashford and Vardy. So were many of the defence, Stones probably should have came on.

England played very well - they were just unlucky at the end.

So Roy in the past has been critcised for being conservative

He now goes out all out attack and he is still being criticised

Look on the bright side, if that happens then at least the journey is much shorter.

Milner was the obvious choice to bring on, a more defensive midfielder, replacing a tiring Rooney. I'm no Milner fan, but I'd rather he come on than say Vardy with that sort of time left.

Lalanna and Sterling will never be international quality and should be dropped. Kane lacked his shooting boots tonight but his body of work as an integral part of this"team" means he should not be not dropped. I would go with two up front against Wales.

Needed Vardy or Rashford to kill the game off

Very disappointing goal to concede but we have now played the best team in our group, we should roll over the cannon fodder that is Wales & Slovakia.

Only one win from those two easily gets us through.

Sterling doesn't just need dropping, he needs sending home - awful, as he has been all season.

I don't see why Roy is getting so much stick. We could have been 5-0 up at half time. Ok.. perhaps 3-0. But we had so many chances and we simply didn't finish them off. That's not Roy's fault. Had we only managed 1 or 2 shots on goal.. then you start to ask questions of the manager. But we were falling over ourselves to score.

Russia clearly came out in the 2nd half thinking they were still in it and played better. Perhaps Roy could have made changes but we were still getting chances to score. The game should have been an easy win for us.. and that's not Roy's fault IMHO.

Milner for Sterling is not an all out attack sub. He was there to solidify us and failed miserably.

Incidentally, some more details have come out about that crowd trouble after the final whistle.

Apparently the Russian fans broke out of their section behind Joe Hart's goal and just charged across at the England fans, who fled out of the stadium.

Stewarding to separate the fans was non existent.

Kane and Sterling need to take some responsibility as well. Both were poor. Should have brought Vardy on.

Russia are the worst team in the group.

We still did our usual, get one goal up, then start hanging back and inviting shots.

Attack is the best form of defence for me. Part of the reason why it's so painful watching England.
