Bobby Charlton was asked how he thought the England team of '66 would have fared against Iceland. " I think we'd have won 1-0 " he replied. "Only 1-0?" Said the reporter. "Yes," said Bobby. "Most of us are in our 70's now!"

That just showed up on my FB timeline.

Jeremy Corbyn is still not standing down. He doesn't really have to, but I didn't think it was pc for David Cameron to tell him to stand down

I really think at this point he should, after the no-confidence vote and most of the shadow cabinet quitting, nobody will take him seriously anymore. I agree though, it wasn't really necessary for Cameron to tell him to do so.
Whilst I agree that he should stand down, fluffy, I would not be surprised if the big four unions are helping him to remain in situ for now.

It actually gets a very good name, dome for good behaviour and only minor offences. These people seem to get in everywhere and ruin it for everyone.
On behalf of decent Scottish people, bangle, I apologise for the behaviour of a very small minority
No need to apologise, although i've been dawn sarf for 12 years, im originally a haggis eater myself!

Not a fan of Corbyn, but he is a principled man who sees his accession to the leadership as a mandate from the core labour voters, so he will not resign but stand again.

The Labour Party have brought this upon themselves and behaving the way they are at this moment in time is beyond ridiculous.

I have to say I laughed at Cameron's quip, as did most of the House.

Maybe too embarrassing for them. You don't really know what she would say, but it would be entertaining and embarrassing

Whenever i'm up visiting the folks in Edinburgh I treat myself to a deep fried pizza supper with proper chippy sauce, delicious! (I can feel my arteries clogging as we speak)

I'm not a Labour voter but it is sad.

Although it is rather like watching a Carry on script being played out before your eyes.

so did I and they were sat in my freezer for a month until the next time my mates cane round.

booooo then I had to share them.😡
Well that's silly of you!

Are they any good? and where do you buy them?
They're like alcoholic slush puppies. The supermarket booze aisle part of the cocktail and alcoho pop section.

BIB Principled is one word, I however view him as a stubborn, petulant child at times. Part of running the country is about negotiating and compromise, he is incapable of either.

I remember when the supermarkets began selling 'chip shop sauce' I thought I had the real deal, but it was nothing like chip shop sauce. One of our local chip shops, an Italian one, sells you a little bottle of chip shop sauce if you take in an empty drinks bottle. I don't have them very often now only once in a blue moon

I've done well to go this far without doing so....

I'll warn you all now I'm a dyed in the wool out and out left winger and I will be LIVID if corbyn is forced to resign.

but... if he does, he will automatically stand for election again and will win so hey ho

EDIT- and that is my final political word in this forum.

Probably because of the flack she received from shandy-gate.

She's hoping everyone will forget if she doesn't mention her bump for a couple of days.
I was just about to say the same- her logic probably thinks if she doesn't mention being pregnant we will all forget!
I agree. If she puts any gushy mummy tweets people will just give her a hard time again. She's waiting for this story to blow over...
