I read on a pregnancy forum "they only recommend multiple scans if something is wrong as too many scans can be a bad thing. They said they would probably turn someone away for a 3rd scan if there wasn't a good reason." So either there's a problem with the baby or she's lying about how many scans she's had
she's only had 3.

the first one may have been an internal scan if there's been aby doubt about dates etc cos she had that "period"- which, If it came after a positive test, would be normal to do an investigative scan.

the last one was probably a 12 week scan.
and this one may have been a follow up to that if there's been any concerns- ( ie if she's been under stress and had any more bleeding)

Oh nem Losing the elders of our families is always hard. My Husband is now the oldest of both sides of our families - that's not a great thought but it is life. Something you get used to with age

It's horrible isn't it. All my grandparents died before I was born and I still have both my parents so have never suffered that loss. My Great Aunt raised my mother after her parents passed away. Sadly my GA who is now 88 now has dementia and has deteriorated more and more every time I see her, although she always recognises me and asks me when i'm going to settle down with a nice man, it's heart breaking and i'll be devastated when she finally passes even if it will likely be for the best
I've never had to deal with dementia, thankfully, though I have experienced it second hand. It's one of the most cruel diseases. My heart goes out to you and, yes, sometimes it is for the best, for all concerned.

Has your nan ever read for a faux scouser with a penchant for tattooed men and crusty knickers?

She's still in 'there' but she gets angry like she never did before, chases random men in a way she never would have and even menial tasks like making a cup of tea confuses her, very sad

Well I genuinely didn't mean to upset you, I didn't realise she had passed away and wouldn't have made a joke if I had. It was meant to be a comment about SaD consulting psychics etc and in no way meant as a jab at your Nan. I am sorry, if this upset you and I truly mean that!

When I was pregnant with my Third Baby ,my Routine spina bifida Blood test came back High ,The Dr explained if my Dates were correct then it was High but high in the Normal Range ..However if my Dates were out by as little as a week then it would be considered an Abnormal High I was referred to the Hospital ,and had a couple more tests that came back normal ,but it was decided i'd be put under Hospital Care for my Ante-natal with a Scan every month to keep a check ,where they'd Hone in on the Spine growth to make sure it was developing properly so ended up having about 6 or 7 scans in that pregnancy

Thankfully every thing turned out fine ,and There was absolutely nothing wrong with him when he was born .....

It could be something like this with Steph and would explain why she was having a lot of Scans Or the Fathers day Scan could've been a private scan booked as a present for her Dad ,and today's Scan her normal routine Hospital one ,it could be a number of reasons really ,who knows

But back in May, she said JIM hadn't shown up for 'scans', maybe it was exaggeration or one of her usual typing errors

Sounds like Steph had more than 6-7 scans already. She said JIM missed some scans. They was the the scan she did when she went out with her friend Jay and she posted the poached eggs on IG, I think she had another one done sometime after that, then the father day scan when she tweeted she saw the baby kicked, then this. And all that drinking and smoking early on in the pregnancy must have done something to the child

I think she was just generalising ie- "what kind of a bleep bleep bleep doesn't turn up for scans" when she just meant one scan.

She did say that all over Twitter and IG. She said he missed a couple of scans. So it's more than one

she didn't say "a couple of scans". she said "he doesn't show up for scans".

that's like my bf not coming with me for A hospital appointment then me ranting that he "doesn't bother coming to hospital appointments with me".

and it was all said in a rant.

but she had only said twice before that she's had scans.

Obviously while doing those two things in Pregnancy is a No-No ,there's thousands of women that do Both especially in the early days before they even know they're Pregnant ,without it causing any abnormalities in the Baby ,so You can't say she has definitely harmed the baby by doing either of those things as a fact ,Though once she Knew she should've refrained from doing either

When I had my First Baby ,before I realised I was Pregnant I went riding the Corkscrew at Alton Towers being twirled upside down and shaken all about Thankfully this had no ill effects like me Miscarrying etc ,but was something I definitely wouldn't have done if i'd known I was carrying a child

We don't know how many scan she had, that's for sure.....SAD making JIM out to look bad cause he missed one scan that she lied about. I'm sure she never had any scan and that's why she couldn't provide a scan for JIM when he said he said he needed proof
