Totally incompetent Judge, who had the audacity and stupidity to blame Barry Steenkamp for being influenced by the notion that Reeva was shot following an argument
and brought that part of what he said in his testimony into her sentencing explanation. Is she that thick not to have just realised that Barry was just saying how he thinks his daughter ended up being shot by Pistorius and that he believe in his heart an argument took place that night and that's what led to her death !
What was Judge Masipa thinking ? She's given Pistorius just one more year for Murder DE conviction than she gave for his initial Culpable Homicide conviction , wtf ??? So starting point of 15 years minimum for Murder and she took 9 years off for flakey, so he serves just under half the minimum for Murder, for so -called compelling and substantial circumstances (not justifable reasons). She believed he'd shown remorse ?
he didn't even have the guts to testify to plead mercy to the Court and show remorse. How dare she also say that the Steenkamps are recovering and they have accepted his apology, they didn't , Barry Steenkamp said he should pay for what he did.
The Prosecution said they'd Appeal if he got less than 8 years , but no word yet if they will, they may not have see it worth it, but i hope they do, because i'd like to see Judge Leach and the Supreme Court add a few more years on for a Murder Conviction than Masipa did. He could only end up serving 3 years in prison.

Hopefully Nel will appeal but he will get his just deserts one way or another. Justice will find its way to him one day I'm sure. Wonder what the outcome would have been had the steenkamps also been loaded.

The problem for the SA Justice System is that this could set a dangerous precedent.
That would be a reason too for NPA Appealing

He did , soon as i saw him he knew he was getting off lightly, no hurt puppy droopy drugged up eyeballs , he just has to do 3 years max and he's off and out , angry and full of revenge for those who've wronged him, little angry man. He looked relaxed and aware of the Judgement.

We don't know if he will be in protective custody to keep him safe, but I imagine they cannot take a risk as he must have a 'bullet with his name on it' .

the lesser spotted Frank , the janitor, who lived right next door in a kind of wing of Pistorius' who did a disappearing act soon as the trial started,money of course. He slept through the whole thing that night apparently, as did the dogs.
Uncle Arnold may having donated a few squillion Rand to one of her charities, the women's abuse charities,where she's a very active member in such causes.
