I know what you mean . I know 40+ year olds who have never worked and never intend to , yet have stunning homes and none of their children work either .
I remember discussing gardening etc with a 14 yr old neighbour boy and he said "When I get my own place I'll have a brilliant garden" . I said "Well that's a quare few years away pal " .Then he said , "only two years. When I leave school I'll apply for a house and say my ma has threw me out" . I was

. His mum has 4 kids, to three different dads and has never worked . They know all the wrinkles .
Then the genuine cases crop up and I thank God for the Welfare system that keeps body and soul together for them . It's not the system at fault, it's the cheats and abusers of it .
