I think someone needs to change baby bear's nappy as I suspect he soiled it when he saw the giant security guard, who I strongly suspect was a female.

Good afternoon guys .
Still chuckling over baby Bear (great name for him Evil. I shall use that on the BB threads) getting instant karma last night . Might be just me but I strongly suspect that they didn't try that with Jason Burrill . Jason was genuinely scary and built like a brick shit house . Baby Bear is young and fit enough but his aggressive posturing lacked any kind of menace . Good enough to scare HMs but not anywhere near Jason's shit-yer-pants Incredible Hulk impression .
I'm gonna make a note of that shrub you guys were discussing . I quite fancy that for the patio area and I'm trying to whittle my plants down to easy-care ones like that .
Pulled my back out yesterday afternoon while washing the vinyl ceiling in the bathroom , so I'll be walking like I pooed my pants for the foreseeable (big sigh) . I never learn . On the plus side a few ebay things arrived today and reminded me that I might not be fit for too much walking but then ebay doesn't require walking , mwahahaha. 😈 . Credit card bill arrived too but that can wait till the last minute for paying .

I finally found the charity that collects knickers (new obv) and bras (lightly used ) . They go to girls in Zimbabwe and Kenya where undies are hard to come by for single girls .
“Not only is it a health and hygiene problem for many poor African
communities, as women often only own one pair of tattered pants or have none
at all, but underwear is also seen as a status symbol and offers a degree of
security.
Women who can afford underwear tend to be seen as having someone who cares
for them – a husband, brother or father. They are not on their own so they are not seen as vulnerable.”

So I'm gonna raid my bras collection and add bras to my charity shop shopping . Seen quite a few baskets of good quality often new bras in the charity shops for as little as 50p . So that's my next challenge, to make up a decent sized bundle of bras and pick up extra knickers in Primark .

That's heartbreaking Heather - what's the charity? I'd like to send them some bits too.

I was looking it up last night Rogana . Just what I want actually, thanks pal 👍. Some of my shrubs only flower in spring or short term . I want a bit of summer colour to cheer the place up on dull days . I'll need to source it locally , but will have to wait a week or so till I can walk further than the length of myself again .

Oh fabby !
This is the donation page from their site .Address is at the bottom .
http://www.smallsforall.org/donate/

They don't say in their site , but I supported a similar campaign about two years ago aimed at supplying an orphanage in Africa and the story was heart breaking . Apparently because the blossoming girls were bra-less they were considered fair game for assault . Sort of "She was asking for it by bouncing her boobs around " attitude . So there was a drive to supply the place with bras as a means of protection for the older girls from predatory dirt bags . How sad is that .
Like I say , this site doesn't mention that but I daresay it would come into it to some degree .

Take it easy Heather, don't go making it worse.

Can you post name of charity, turfing out some of my clothes so bras can go somewhere useful. (just seen post with link..thanks.)

Bought some lavender plants today, going in pots until next year and then into garden when it's been cleared.

I posted the site details above , but this is the donation page ,
http://www.smallsforall.org/donate/

I got two tiny little lavender plants at 99p each in B&M last year and my sis in law (la Bitch) basically sneered at them . "Oh they'll die off, not healthy looking , a waste of £2 Hev ." She's not laughing now . They are thriving like hell and the bumble bees are loving them . I love watching the bees nipping from flower to flower outside my window . Very relaxing and feels that some things will just go on eternally in nature .
