251 *happy dance* Looks like they don't count on chatter - surely that means that whatever we say here doesn't count either?

Ooh, something curious is happening here: My post count hasn't gone up in a while - I've been on 250 posts for a few days!

Maybe I'm being monitored *dons tin-foil helmet*
When you post in Chatter your post count doesn't change, so if you want to increase it you have to post elsewhere.

Afternoon all I hope someone got a discount from the removal company. All this moving is making me dizzy.

This is chatter, post counts don't count in here. When I first joined DS I only posted in the Coffee Lounge thread in the BB section. The whole thread was moved to here and my post count dropped to zero. It was a bit of a surprise

I sincerely hope Clive didn't cop a ban for starting the other thread. Seems a bit harsh.

posts in chatter don't add to your postcount so no one knows how many times you post

Clive has been active this afternoon so he's not banned. Could he do that if he was banned? I'm beginning to think he has run off with Jack.

Posts on chatter don't contribute to post count. There is someon on here who only posts in chatter and has been doing so regualrly for years who has a zero post count. Actualy I think they have 1 now, so the method obviously went wrong somewhere.

I would go steady on the references to the events that took place late last week folks. I have been 'talking' to the mods this morning and from what I can gather it was that turn of events that led them to shut us down. I sense they did so with a degree of reluctance too. My hunch is that if we keep it social and light we might be allowed to continue in the vein of a friends thread like The Pub and Username Silliness.

I don't want to say we can say what we want because obviously we could be under surveillance, so will maybe have to restrain ourselves for the time being.

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/member.php?u=634112 he is showing as Inactive but whether you can view the threads like that, I don't know. I've never been banned only warned once

With a little bit of news about our 'friends' thrown in for info? Sounds good to me.

Maybe they're mulling things over down the pub, but don't know which pub

Well, I'm going to keep my tin-foil helmet on anyway, as I am convinced we are being monitored by certain "concerned bystanders"

Would you all like me to make you all one? I've got a catering roll of tin-foil from Macro!

Well if they are, I wish they'd send for me. I could do with a drop myself. As long as they're buying.

To be fair to the mods they sent me a very detailed and considered response to my appeal for a banter space for us. They didn't say yes but they didn't say no either. They just said that while they didn't want to take away the community around the thread, the direction it had taken was undesirable. And there was every reason to suppose that if the same group of people, hang out in a new thread eventually they will go back to discussing the same topics and it would only be a matter of time before others come in to argue and send the thread down the same dodgy path once again.

This is only my interpretation of what they wrote to me though. On the whole I thought they were reasonable and fair. I don't think they quite realise why the original thread had gone down an unacceptable path. They may have, but whether they did or not their job is to ensure undesirable threads are prevented, not to go back and try to work out what led to it or who was to blame. They are forum moderators not relationship counsellors.

Oh thanks. Very kind of you. I'll pick it up later. I'm off on a pub crawl looking for Jack and Clive. Might take a while.

Which is why it is always better not to engage in such attacks and let them get bored and go away.

I'm watching the Queens birthday parade and crying.

yeah I'm weird like that. other people cry about sad horrible things. I cry at happy stuff like animals on bikes and the Queens pink coat.
