Hi

MY service finally went live and after a few days of slow speeds the connection
stabilized at 42 MB , Was getting a download speed of 4.3mb
Was playing WOW yesterday and noticed really bad lag spikes, also you tube was stuttering like mad.

I went to thinkBroadband and downloaded a test file and basically for 48 hrs now
my speed is 788kb, Even though normal speed tests still say its 40mb connection
spoken with Tech support online didn't get anywhere at all.

Just don't know what I should do next.

many thanks

I'm not with BT but if you can post your router stats and the result of a speed test from here it may be a help. Have you rebooted the router since you have started using it, maybe worth a try .... easiest way is to pull the power lead from the router, wait a few seconds and plug it back in .... then wait until its all connected.

Are you using a fixed or wi-fi connection?

Speed test should always be done on a fixed connetion. If you get a good speed here but then have problems with Wi-Fi many and varied are the problems which could be causing this.
