Jeans inflation
OK so Levis were always on the expensive side but I used to be able to get Lee, Pepe and Wrangler jeans for about £30, now we're looking at £75 minimum.
What's going on? The price of other clothes has fallen. |

Levis are not only a rip-off price-wise, but the quality is now appalling, with some of the 'trendier' styles looking like something out of Matalan. I have some genuine dusty-black Levi 501s from America which I'm almost embarrassed to wear. By way of contrast, the Boston Crew ones from George at Asda are only £16, but the quality puts Levis to shame. I also have some Timberland jeans that are far better than Levis, but cost only about £30 from Boundary Mills, which I think is an outlet shop belonging to Oldrids – but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the info ref the Boston Crew ones at George, Asda. My hubby has been looking for old quality Levi 501s for ages and was quite resigned to waiting till we are in the States next. I can get him a few pairs for his birthday pressie later this month. Thanks again.
